Harry Potter Fanfiction: If

I’m working on another Harry Potter fanfic, and with seven books between here and the distant finish line, it feels like I’ll never get it all written... And it’s all because of the Dark Lord... If he had understood what love was when he was young, would the world have turned out differently? That strange idea gave rise to this story, which doesn’t follow the original plot at all and ends with a huge question mark. My other story was labeled “a lazy writer’s writing exercise,” but it turned into a daily-update project, so I need to give everyone a special warning this time... This one updates weekly, once every Sunday. Anything more is a bonus! Out-of-character characters, no adherence to the plot, and English names. If those are deal-breakers for you, read at your own risk. “If” is for readers who like a slightly sweet, lighthearted story without angst. “IF” is for readers who like a lingering aftertaste, a touch of bitterness, some angst, and a happy ending. There are two heroines. They share a name and have similar personalities, but you can treat them as two separate, unrelated stories. “IF” was written for a PRE fan anthology, so it’s longer and more structurally ambitious.
