Lighthearted version:
The immortals in the heavens descended to the mortal world to undergo trials.
They became the young master and young lady of two distinguished families.
One was aloof and otherworldly, while the other was playful and eccentric.
They fell in love, but their romance drew the envy of others.
See how Shangguan Jinyin, a young lady of a distinguished family, was made a pawn in someone else's revenge.
See the story of Gu Qingyan and Bai Moyi, inseparable as they face every hardship together.
Poetic version:
How deep are the bonds of fate? How hard is the mortal world?
A fated bond spanning years, a long-held wish spanning ages.
What is a bond of fate?
What is the passage of time?
Note: The story starts out quite lighthearted, with the leads showering everyone with affection and making them jealous~ Then, midway through, a certain boss begins their path of revenge. Be warned: you won't know who the big boss is until the very end! There are a few hints along the way, so see if you can spot them~
