Sui Xing lost a bet with his mortal enemy, Ji Chenxing. He had to honor the bet and set Ji Chenxing's ringtone to a recording of himself saying, "My husband is calling!"

Ji Chenxing, who normally never called him, started phoning him whenever he had nothing better to do.

What a terrible deal! Sui Xing swore to himself that if he won their next bet, he'd make Ji Chenxing say it twice as many times! He wasn't going to be the one losing out!

But before the next bet could happen, Sui Xing had an accident. When he woke up, he had lost his memory.

Just as he was feeling bewildered and helpless, the phone rang, and he heard his own excited voice: "My husband is calling!"

Sui Xing answered and tentatively said, "...Honey?"

Ji Chenxing was suspiciously silent for a moment on the other end. "...Yeah."

Later, at their wedding, Sui Xing told the story of how they met and fell in love: "We first met on the subway. I took one look and thought, 'Hey, that's my future boyfriend!' So I dropped to my knees and proposed right then and there!"

Ji Chenxing played along, trying not to laugh. "That's right. He knelt very devoutly. If we hadn't been under the legal age, I would've accepted his proposal and gone straight to the civil affairs bureau to register our marriage."

The subway slowed as it pulled into the station. Sui Xing was leaning against a pole, posing with his phone raised in both hands, when the train suddenly jolted him into a ridiculous dance. He fell to his knees in front of Ji Chenxing, who was standing diagonally across from him.

Both knees hit the floor with a crisp thud. He really did kneel very "devoutly."

From the start, a mortifying disaster, with his mortal enemy as his future husband.

In the end, madly in love, and bound together for life.
