Separation Flame

Only yesterday,

I thought I was merely a fragment,

trembling without rhythm in the firmament of life.

Now I know

that I am the firmament,

and all life is made of fragments turning rhythmically within me.

- Sand and Foam, Kahlil Gibran

A record of a bizarre and fantastic dream.

Perhaps we have all had someone we loved who has left us, yet whom we cannot bear to let go.

Background:

Paranoid personality disorder, also known as "persistent delusional disorder."

The content and timing of a patient's delusions are closely related to their life circumstances. Delusions have logical, systematic, and realistic qualities, making it difficult to tell whether they are delusions or facts without careful scrutiny.

In general, the behavior and emotional responses of patients with paranoid personality disorder are consistent with the content of their delusions.

From the female lead's family's point of view, the male lead is already dead. The female lead knows this, but insists that he isn't dead, so she must be ill.

But what is the truth?

That depends on how you see it.
