This is the story of two brothers trying to survive in a time of chaos, struggling to live in the light and in the shadows.
Espionage? Or life behind different masks?
Who could say in that era?
This is a continuation of the TV series The Ardent Swirl. If you haven't watched the show or aren't interested in espionage, please give this one a pass.
╮(╯▽╰)╭ As usual, I'm terrible at writing blurbs.
This is a novel, not a textbook, so please don't nitpick or start arguments.

Theme: Faith has no right or wrong; only history can pass judgment.
Republic of China... I remember that when I was a child, I was very resistant to all information about the Republic of China. In my humble understanding, the history of the Republic of China is too complicated and dark. The forces from all sides are all involved, but no one can save the country. It is full of "history of humiliation" of the Chinese nation. It doesn't matter if you don't understand it! I wonder if Ah Chu and Ah Ci heard my "dislike" and appeared in my life with their stories. The lingering sound of that teahouse explosion lingered for a long time, taking me bit by bit to peek into a corner of the Republic of China. Ten years later, the Republic of China has gradually become my favorite period of history to read. I gradually learned that how many humiliations China suffered in that era, how many people with lofty ideals fought to avenge the humiliation; how many unbearable heroic deeds emerged in that era, and how many times their number of unknowns were buried in the vast army that defended the country and their families... Just like my Ah Chu Ah Ci. A famous doctor of medicine and a red agent from a well-off family. 1. Yang Muchu - This heart is bright, what can I say? Ah Chu is a very "real" character. Sometimes it's really frustrating to think about partisanship. In the beginning, they were just a group of young people who were full of ambitions to serve their country and wanted to shed their blood for their country and the world. They are brave, pure and passionate, and are the true future of the country. However, due to various reasons, there are many parties and distinct camps in China. The original dream gave way to the pleasure of becoming a superior person under the influence of power, so the party came to be united and opposed, and "in order to fight against external forces, we must first settle down at home"... Ah Chu studied abroad and grew up in the dual environment of an open and free ideological atmosphere in the West and a traditional Chinese family. He is patriotic, but does not agree with the self-destructive way of serving the country; he wants to do something for this devastated country, but refuses to join any so-called patriotic organization. In these troubled times, where it is difficult to even protect oneself, Ah Chu is like tens of thousands of ordinary Chinese people. He has no party, no faction, and no lofty ideals. He is trying his best to "survive in troubled times." Because of this, Ah Chu chose to be patient in the face of repeated threats from the Black Dragon Society—until his sister was wiped out in a blaze of flames. I don't know if Tanaka Yingzi regrets killing Yang Mulian in a hurry - she originally wanted to force Rong Chu to submit obediently, but she never thought that it would backfire, making Rong Chu determined to resist after learning from the pain. Raising funds, recruiting troops, negotiating deals... Ah Chu carried out his revenge plan in an orderly manner, so meticulous and profound that people couldn't believe that the sunny young man who enjoyed the future on the train not long ago was also him. Rong Sheng said that Ah Chu was the last bright person in the Rong family. But at this moment, the elegant and vicious medical genius in the eyes of the Three Musketeers, the humble and well-behaved adopted son in the eyes of the Rong family, turned around and hurried into the wind and rain. Like a dragon whose scales had been touched, he woke up from a long hibernation, opened his sharp claws and leaned down to rush into the surging undercurrent under the golden clouds. The man who was supposed to be holding a knife to save lives and heal the wounded was holding a gun and facing evil, causing trouble in the crisis-ridden Shanghai Beach. Although everything was not what he wanted, and he often said that he was not a great gentleman, when Tanaka Sakurako sent him an invitation that was almost certain for him, he still chose to accept the appointment without hesitation. I have always believed that even without Ah Ci's last letter, Ah Chu would not have stayed out of the war against Japan. At least he would have continued to protect the land and the people on it in his own way, for which his beloved had sacrificed his life and blood. The whistle rumbled away, and Ah Chu, who was under the umbrella, burst into tears as he watched his beloved woman board the train to the rear. The cold leather clothes that seemed to still have Ah Ci's breath on his body tightly restrained Ah Chu, preventing him from taking even one step towards the dream that was within reach. This is the early winter of 1937, a rainy night, and there is no such thing as a glorious beginning in the world. I can't imagine how Ah Chu, who has lost Ah Ci, would wear the mask of his younger brother and hide in a treacherous and hidden battlefield. In an unfamiliar field, he would imitate with heartache while fighting as hard as iron. Thanks to "Wind and Cloud" for giving Ah Ci a chance to have a new life, and also allowing Ah Chu to have a completely different second life. 2. Yang Muchi - a pure heart, a long-term service to the country Yang Muchi, from the Detective Division of the Central Shanghai Security Command, holds the position of major adjutant with a monthly salary of eighty yuan. Yang Muchi. I don't quite remember what it was like to meet him for the first time, but I still clearly remember that the first time I heard the name, I felt it was very difficult to pronounce. Following a little bit of curiosity about this awkward name, I heard another name "A Chu", and I immediately felt that this person should be "A Ci"'s brother, and his name was much better than his younger brother. Never would I have thought that such a difficult-to-pronounce name would make me think about it for so long. I have known him for almost ten years. I have seen many different versions of him in the past ten years. In "The Sword", he is young and immature, yet heroic and passionate, and dares to teach Dong Junlao; in "One Touch", he has become more mature, walking on thin ice to break through obstacles and protect the ones he loves; in "The Wind and Cloud", he has become restrained and heroic, and is a true warrior who has experienced hundreds of battles. I admire him, admire him, and feel sorry for him even more. A hundred years ago in China, smoke was everywhere and all the people were in arms, but he was not an ordinary citizen who had to take up arms in order to survive. The dignified young master of the Yang family has knowledge, capital, and connections. As long as he wants, he can fly far away and live his life step by step in a country without war, wearing his well-tailored suit. But he didn't. He doesn't want the broad road paved for him by Yang Yuhua's "hard work". He wants to participate in the career of licking blood on the edge of the knife and benefiting the world. The family created by conspiracy has made Aci alone since childhood, which makes him care about every existence that has ever stopped in his world. However, the particularity of espionage work destined him to be alone most of the time. Ah Ci is not a person he does not cherish - he has a lover whom he has promised life and death without any vows, a "father" who is both close and fearful, and who rejects others thousands of miles away, an elder who shares the same master-disciple relationship as father and son, and friends who share the same ideals and are close to each other... But his lover is in front of him. He sacrificed his life to protect his comrades, but his father was actually a killer in disguise. His teacher and he were rivals and it was inevitable that they would come into contact with each other. For the mission, he personally killed his comrades who were sympathetic to each other... He was like a lone star in the sky, he was already lost before he dared to ask for anything. Ah Chu... Maybe he is an exception? Rong Chu used thunderous means to end Ah Ci's only false family relationship, but left a pair of dishes and chopsticks for him at No. 28 Songxue Street, Fuyou Road. They spent a few days together, almost as if they were brothers and sisters. It was so beautiful that it seemed that Ah Ci could finally hold the happiness in his hands in his life. God failed to fulfill his wish, first there was a secret killing order from the Military Command Bureau, and then there was an appointment with Sakurako Tanaka in the tea room, one after another, as if he was mocking Ah Ci: You are a lone star in the sky, and enjoying the happiness of human relations for a few days is already a gift from God. How dare you think of more?! Rongchu was Yang Muci's last relative in this world and his last bond. He no longer wanted to be the one "left behind", he wanted to be the one to leave first. So he turned around on the small stone bridge and left his faith and his elder brother behind in the misty Jiangnan. Who said "see you later"? Who promised that the teacher would be the first to pick him up when he returned to Shanghai? And who keeps saying that he will "definitely come back"? Ah Ci, who allowed you to break your promise and gain weight? 3. The first time - no self and no name, sharing the same robe with my son In 1936, we met again at Shanghai Railway Station for the first time. This meeting that took place across thousands of days and nights and thousands of miles across the ocean was not a good one. It was a chaotic and chaotic atmosphere. Amidst the gunshots, their eyes reflected a face that was no different from their own. At that time, one of the brothers was a disguised "official" and the other was a suspicious "thief". They looked at each other with fear. This was the only unilateral suppression of Ah Ci with full aura in front of Ah Chu. Although Ah Chu didn't respond immediately after returning home to learn the truth about his life experience, Ah Ci quickly switched and gained the upper hand with ease. He actually made our former top thorn in the youth training camp and now the detective department's Yi Zhihua speechless several times, and even obediently paid a large "apology" for his offending behavior. In Ah Chu's case, Ah Ci's arrogance, indifference, and calmness have all disappeared. Just looking at the daily interactions between the two of them, how can you see the way this clumsy and short-breathed brother used to make all the instructors speechless with his sharp mouth and a few words? It is said that twins are a ray of soul injected into two bodies. They were unable to resist the changes in the Yang family mansion when they were five years old, and they could not predict the reunion at the Shanghai Railway Station when they were twenty-five years old. Twenty years of involuntary travel, going around and around, finally reunited. I want to believe that the romance between twins really exists. It is the connected blood that pulls them to become each other's most solid support and salvation after being separated for twenty long years. I remember Xiaowa mentioned in an interview that Ah Chu and Ah Ci slowly got closer in the successive games, becoming more and more like each other, from the appearance to the soul. This is true, at least judging from the ending of the play - the bright and proud man steps into the darkness, a doctor who has no interest in politics is involved in the center of the political struggle; the lonely and forbearing spy returns to Hong Kong with peace of mind, and a warrior who is obsessed with faith puts down his unfinished lofty ambitions. However, much later, the Sino-Japanese Research Institute was established, and the news of Rong Chu being appointed as the director of the institute was published in the newspapers. On the afternoon when he was reviled and attacked by compatriots who did not know the truth, Ah Ci said that he regretted dying for Ah Chu. In the years after the fall of Shanghai, the two brothers wore double masks and walked on the blade, looking into the vast sky. One had no whereabouts to trace, and the other had no name to hide. The "twins" became the sharpest weapons and the heaviest shackles for the two. Ah Chu is Ah Ci's eldest brother, and he has unknowingly become the patriarch of the lurking team. Ah Chu's stability makes us often overlook that he was only born five minutes earlier than Ah Ci. Although he has an awkward status in the Rong family, he can be regarded as the young master of the Rong family to the outside world. He is a bright boy who has grown up safely and smoothly under Rong Sheng's care. No one gave him time to prepare, and he was caught off guard and involved in the ensuing conspiracies. For Ah Ci, he who should have withdrawn early has gradually become the backbone of the latent plan, fighting wits and courage with the enemy while standing on the tip of the knife, while healing his younger brother who is always injured. He came to listen to Aci's suffering, and he came to heal Aci's injuries, but what about his? Who can I tell it to? Who can share the burden? Ah Ci has faith and comrades-in-arms, but the only one who supports Ah Chu to persevere in the inhumane life is Ah Ci, a younger brother who fights for his life in everything and makes Ah Chu extremely hard to pursue. After the explosion in the tea room, Ah Chu came to see Xiaojiang wearing Ah Ci's clothes, which seemed to indicate something - for a long time in the future, Ah Ci would disappear, and Rongchu would no longer be Rongchu. Yuechun said that Ah Chu was the center of the whirlpool, and Ah Ci was the one who held Ah Chu on the edge of the whirlpool. Ah Ci tried his best, but could only watch as Ah Chu in the center of the whirlpool sank deeper and deeper. He blamed all this on his own cowardice and selfishness - he was the one who dragged A Chu into the whirlpool with his own hands. Perhaps in the next seven years after Ah Chu decided to stay, such thoughts often appeared in Ah Ci's mind, but we all know that even if we had to do it over again, Ah Ci would still go to the appointment for Ah Chu. After all, although death is easy, there is hope in life. I believe that even if Ah Chu is re-elected, he will still stay in Shanghai to help Ah Ci. Similarly, Ah Ci will never be able to ignore Ah Chu's danger. For them, hope is a blood-stained black mandala flower growing on the scorched earth, exuding a fatal temptation. Some people are afraid of it, while others are willing to offer it with both hands despite being covered with wounds. The phoenix trees in the yard turned yellow and green again, and the wither and prosperity drove away the spring and autumn. The cunning agents frequently changed their residences, but No. 28 Songxue Street was the "home" they agreed on. Outside the door, the two brothers wear carefully prepared masks to fight against each other, and every second is a test of life and death; inside the door, the world without conspiracy and lies is fleeting. In an age of precarity, even a moment of tenderness is a luxury. As an outside observer, compared to the civil war in the future, I am more willing to focus on the anti-Japanese story of the two brothers in Shanghai. They are full of cleverness and hearty, and every victory is amazing. Although it was difficult to expel the Japanese aggressors, the tacit cooperation between the country and the people made everything pure. On the other hand, the civil war part was really depressing. When the invaders are driven out of China, who will Ah Ci and the others be? Within GMD, they are chess pieces that linger in suspicion but have to rely on; with the Communist Party, they are enemies who are in important positions and must be eliminated. When dealing with the Japanese aggressors, they are armed with sharp weapons, encountering Buddhas, killing Buddhas and gods, blocking the gods and killing gods, and marching forward; fighting against their compatriots, however, is like sneaking in the deep sea, making it difficult to advance even an inch. In places where light does not reach, unknown crises lurk silently. Who is the enemy? Who is the friend? As I walked alone on the road, I could only feel the pressure of being suffocated. In fact, in my heart, Ah Ci has always been a bit sensitive and fragile. To put it bluntly, he is far less sophisticated than Ah Chu in terms of human relations and sophistication. This is due to the environment in which he grew up. It was faith that armed him. They say agents are cold-blooded, but I just think agents are the most affectionate. Otherwise, what is it that enables them to endure deception and smile at their enemies? Isn't it the thickest and heaviest love? They love this country deeply, so they can move forward without hesitation for the future of the entire Chinese people. The more an agent values friendship, the more he can stick to his original intention in the wind, rain, snow, and the more painful it is. Ah Ci's working environment is extremely dangerous and unpredictable, but his "heroic character" is extremely clean and pure. Perhaps it's because people with faith are more or less naive? Therefore, I dare not imagine how far Ah Ci could have persisted without Ah Chu's company. Every sacrifice and every question from his companions is like a sharp knife, which is repeatedly mentioned in his dreams at midnight. If Ah Chu couldn't accompany Ah Ci, enlighten him, and save him, I'm afraid Ah Ci would have fallen into self-blame early on - it was just the tea room's desperate will to die again. Will Xiaojiang have time to save Ah Ci once or twice? The separation of hands and feet is like the broken wings of a flying goose; looking after each other in times of trouble is like a wagtail remaining in its original place. "What else do you need me to do?" "Be my big brother and protect yourself." Ah Chu is not only Ah Ci's haven to heal his trauma, but also the reason for his struggle to survive in the world - he cannot let his eldest brother, who has sacrificed so much for himself, lose him again. In the thickest darkness before dawn, it was Ah Chu who saved Ah Ci "domineeringly". I don't have the noble and pure belief that Ah Ci does. I am angry and even hate those so-called comrades who question, wrongly accuse, and draw guns against Ah Ci. Ah Ci worked hard for them and was bruised all over. Thinking hard about the days and nights without self, the moments of being isolated and helpless, the life-and-death battles... They may not understand, they can pretend not to see it, but how can they be easily obliterated, how can they bite back, how can they... I don't want to listen to their discipline, their helplessness, and the various reasons why they have to do what they do. I only believe in one thing, Ah Ci and the others are heroes, and heroes should not be treated like this. Go, go, go far, leave this disaster-ridden land, you have done enough for this country... If you are destined to have a hard time both ways, then please live a good life for yourself. Some random thoughts from the loyal sub-party: Ah Ci Zhizhu, who is engaged in work, is terrifyingly calm and sharp. After solving the problem, he is "revealed" when he returns to his elder brother - that is, he is afraid of his elder brother's worry if he commits a crime, is afraid of his elder brother's discipline if he reports good news or not, is afraid of his elder brother's discipline when he does something wrong, and is afraid of his elder brother's anger when he does something wrong. When the elder brother is serious, he immediately becomes short-tempered and apologizes... Whenever something comes to light, Ah Ci's bewildered look is like that of a child who is caught stealing snacks by an adult. It is really... So cute! Speaking of which, Ah Ci is the favorite of the whole book group. Regardless of the enemy's camp or our own, Ah Ci's eyes will always follow him wherever he goes. Well, who can not love Ah Ci? I always feel that Ah Chu can be liked as a lover, but Ah Ci is heart-wrenching - this does not conflict with the fact that he is an extremely outstanding warrior. I feel sorry for the lonely and lonely man who has lived in a false family since he was a child. I feel sad that he has to confront Du Lvning because of his love and righteousness. I feel sad that the country for which he devoted his whole life has no place for him... How indomitable and indestructible he was as a soldier, and how heartbreaking it is when he loses all his aura and becomes an ordinary person. To this day, Yang Muchi is no longer just a virtual literary image in my mind. He is the epitome of all the people with lofty ideals in the war years, and he has gathered all the beauty I can imagine. I sincerely admire their heroic spirit of "sacrifice themselves in the national calamity and see death as if they were returning home." I can't help but ask myself what I can do in such a different place. The strong winds and strong tides have blurred the details over time, leaving behind perfect heroes who either achieved fame or died generously for people to admire. Every country and every nation needs heroes. However, the words in the book are passionate but ruthless, and the portrait behind the glass is spotless but cold and lonely. In contrast, I would rather my Achu Aci live in Taoyuan and just be a pair of ordinary brothers with joy, anger, sorrow and joy. Ah Ci spent the first half of his life fighting for the eternal happiness of the world. For the rest of his life, I hope that he can truly live for himself. Well, live as they please, be more lively, and enjoy the peaceful life they deserve freely, such as going shopping on the street with his eldest brother? You can make some small money casually, entertain your children and support yourself in old age. It's not a bad idea to be naughty together in peace and safety and then be disciplined... Thank you Ah Chu for accompanying Ah Ci. Thank you for appearing in my life. Ah Chu Ah Ci, the days ahead are long~ 4. Appearances of all sentient beings - generosity should be shown with generosity, and worries will be unforgettable The spy sea in Oriental Paris is deep, and the first sneak attack is stormy. No Chinese with the slightest sense of national consciousness could survive the catastrophes that occurred in the 1930s and 1940s. Enemies appeared one after another, their laughter and laughter or their fighting clashes only in an instant. Relatives, lovers, friends, Chinese people... The storm in Shanghai is stirred up by everyone. Let's start with Xiaojiang. I love Xiaojiang terribly. When Ah Ci was wandering the streets homeless, it was Xiaojiang who gently but firmly sent him to Ah Chu; when Ah Ci was desperate and his life was hanging by a thread, it was Xiaojiang who uncharacteristically violated discipline and dragged him back from the gate of hell. She was the one who brought Ah Ci home, and later she became part of the family. In the chaos at the train station at the end, Xiaojiang jumped up to block the impact of the explosion and the call of death for Ah Ci. Her protective posture was the same as she had been by Ah Ci's side in the past ten years. The difference was that this time she failed to return to Ah Ci. When I first watched the drama, I actually didn't care much about Xiaojiang. I was filled with eyes for Ronghua, which only Ah Ci recognized. I even looked at Li Qinhong twice more than Xiaojiang. Perhaps Xiaojiang has always been too "powerful" - Zhuge, a popular military commander, has won the trust of veteran spy Du Luning, and has calmly saved Ah Ci from fire and water several times... Her agent's appearance is so perfect that it is difficult for people to associate love with her. On the small stone bridge, Ah Ci said goodbye to Xiaojiang and went to the teahouse. Yu Xiaojiang lost his temper in a rare way. As a superior, she did not use organizational discipline to stop Ah Ci, she just told him that she needed him, she was waiting for him, and then followed her heart and embraced Ah Ci. When I look back on it again this year, I can't help but be attracted to Xiaojiang. I discovered that Xiaojiang has always been special. Ah Ci knew that Xiaojiang had come to the Detective Division, and smiled unconsciously after being stunned; she cared about Ah Ci openly in front of Du Luning, and Du Luning acted like an elder who was happy to see success... In the embattled Detective Division, the weight of comrades is self-evident, not to mention Xiaojiang understands Ah Ci. She knew Ah Ci's past, could see Ah Ci's love for Ronghua, understood Ah Ci's hesitation and sorrow, and was willing to be the one who silently protected Ah Ci. Instructor, superior, comrade, lover... If Ah Chu sometimes plays the role of Ah Ci's father, then sometimes Xiaojiang is like Ah Ci's mother, allowing him to stop and talk to him with peace of mind. You can tell Xiaojiang what you can't say to Ah Chu; Xiaojiang will definitely understand the entanglements and worries that can't be expressed; no matter what decision he makes, Xiaojiang will silently support him... From looking at each other across the falling leaves in the late autumn streets of Shanghai, to raising the cute little Nuoyun together, their love has been forged into steel. However, the female Zhuge Yu Xiaojiang could chat and laugh with the Japanese officers at the invaders' Hongmen Banquet, and she could calmly deal with the enemy in the military command bureau surrounded by wolves, but she could not safely protect her husband from the hands of her own people. I don't know how long it will take Ah Ci to get over the grief of losing his loved one again. The glory was like a bouquet of fireworks, briefly illuminating the silent night sky, and then quickly falling into ashes. It was Xiaojiang who gave Ah Ci a steady flow of love that he could hold in his hands. Now, this love has been destroyed by the compatriots they tried their best to protect. This is the love that belongs to revolutionaries... There are no flowers, no hymns, no weddings, just being by your side is exhausting your efforts. Ah Ci once said to Ronghua, "The romanticism of revolutionaries can withstand wind, frost, rain, and snow." He and Xiaojiang have already transcended time, distance, and the flames of war. From now on, Ah Ci will need to love Xiaojiang alone across life and death. Every one of us living in peaceful times is a witness to their love. Yuechun. Yuechun is the Three Musketeers and the most idealistic among the first small team. From a radical advocate of communist ideas to a staunch communist fighter, I admire his perseverance and perseverance, but I am afraid of his occasional indifference and even cold-bloodedness for his beliefs. Yuechun is the representative of the organization behind him. To this day, I still can't judge whether some of their actions are right or wrong. Perhaps in the context of the ebb and flow of power games, talking about right and wrong without talking about interests is a joke in itself. But I can't let go. Those who were abandoned by the righteous words of "for the sake of safety" and "the overall situation is the most important" are all living people who have been fighting bloody battles for the same dream until now! I dare not imagine that if Yuechun persisted until 1966, what would be waiting for such an idealist? This is too cruel. But can you judge based on this that his original cruelty was wrong? It doesn't seem to work either. Right and wrong, the taste is like drinking water. Of course, no matter what, the arrogant, spoiled, and picky Dean Xia Yue Chunxia will always be the most important brother and comrade-in-arms of the first time. I really like watching him and Ah Chu bicker. After much deliberation, it seemed that only Yuechun could compete with Ah Chu in the art of talking. Although Yue Chun came to the house almost every time with a mission, but before entering the study, his arrival always relaxed the cold and solemn atmosphere. This can be regarded as the unique charm of Dean Xia. Yuechun is here, and the organization is here; Yuechun no longer dares to come to Yang's house, and Yang Muci has truly become a helpless "Piaofeng". I hope that Dean Xia can get his wish, overcome the severe cold, and land in the spring when the grass grows and the orioles fly. Du Lvning. Having read too many stories about Ah Chu Ah Ci, I occasionally wonder wildly, if I lived in the same era, would I join a certain political party? Probably yes, I like the feeling of fighting side by side. So which political party will I join? According to my personality, nine times out of ten I won't think of anything other than the ruling party. What if I had become a follower of a party that was doomed to fail? I have no idea. Du Lvning is a student of Huangpu Military Academy and half of Dai Li's teacher. At an age when other political parties were far from established, it was a natural thing for a patriotic young man to join the GMD. If you choose it, you will be loyal to it, and there is nothing wrong with it. Unfortunately, the original Three People's Principles have gradually changed beyond recognition. The GMD is called the people, but the policies and actions it enacts are obviously no longer for the country and the people. From Chongqing, the foggy city, to Shanghai, the magic city, the road is steep and long. Every "effort" A Ci made made Du Luning in the rear tremble with fear. He wished he could go to Shanghai in person to see what his most energetic disciple had done to him. At the same time, Chongqing seemed to be in a fog that could not be lifted, and the feasting and feasting as usual confused him - the danger in the intelligence and the revelry behind him were happening at the same time, so absurd! Not disappointed? No, he was disappointed. Du Lvning should be more discouraged by the corruption of GMD than anyone else, because he has seen the original appearance of this party - enough to make every patriot's blood boil. He put on a military uniform and willingly became the most convenient tool of the party and state in order to expel the Tartars and protect China. I don't know when it started. The party and the country have changed. The soldiers at the front are going through life and death amidst the cries of cranes and apes, while the officials at the rear are living and dying in the hustle and bustle of glitz. He knows that such a political party has no future, but others are still as quiet as before, but they are no longer young - a material smuggling case has left him unable to do what he wants. It's not that I'm not disappointed, I just can't let it go. He has spent half his life in this party, and now he is so exhausted that he does not even have the energy to erase the loyalty that is engraved in his bones. He is a late hero who is destined to be abandoned by the times. His battlefield and glory are left in the smoke-filled yesterday; what awaits him tomorrow is only the dust raised by the change of regime. The mountains are difficult to overcome, so who feels sad for those who have lost their way? The shroud of horse leather is the destination he chose for himself, and it is his confession to his faith, the party and the country, and himself. If I could do it all over again, I wish that my Ah Ci and Lao Du could both become generals who stand upright, pick up their guns, go to the front line, and fulfill their aspirations to serve the country in a straightforward manner amidst the hail of bullets... Exhibition. Zhanxiang is the new character that impressed me most in the second volume. When the country was in danger and the people were in danger, young people rose up and joined the army, determined to save the country first and then study. Zhan Xiang probably did not expect that his ambition to serve the country had not yet been realized, and he himself was exhausted under the power struggle; he never imagined that his idol Yang Muchi, his guide and guide, was also his enemy, Yang Muchi, a member of the Central Committee code-named "Piaofeng". When the doubts were gathered together by someone who was interested, the details that he had not paid attention to in the past were magnified exponentially, and he began to doubt Chief Yang. To a certain extent, he faced a very similar problem to Du Lvning - expose Yang Muci or stop there? Du Lvning had always firmly claimed that he would not show mercy, while Zhan Xiang never dared to face his own heart; the dramatic thing is that they both chose to protect Yang Muci in the end. For pure soldiers or patriots, the identity of Ren Yang Muchi is full of doubts, but one thing will not change: he is a flesh-and-blood and responsible patriot, and has never done anything to disgrace the country and the people. This is enough to make soldiers who are also dedicated to serving their country put down their butcher's knife. I don't know how Zhan Xiang will look at his idol and his webmaster after he wakes up; I don't know what kind of trial a young lieutenant in the Secrecy Bureau who lost his chief will receive in the post-liberation New China; I don't know whether such a passionate young man who was also full of ambitions to serve the country can find a suitable soil for himself under the change of regime... Friends and foes. I will never forget that Lao Du's last instruction to Ah Ci in the play was "You must live." At that moment, Du Lvning was not the cold-faced chief of the Military Investigation Department, but just a teacher who cared about his students, or a father who loved his children. Who can say that the love between Du Luning and Ah Ci, Ah Ci and Zhan Xiang is not real? It's just that the camps are relatively clear-cut like the Chu, He and Han realms. Where can the joys and sorrows of the little people have a foothold? If they are lucky enough to be named in the history books of the future, plotting against each other until death will probably be their most satisfying involvement. Liu Yunpu, Du Tianying... These were supposed to be Ah Ci's most trusted comrades, fighting together and close to each other. However, the fact that they did not raise guns at each other and went to the point of fighting to the death is enough to make me feel lucky. Tianying took the risk to inform Ah Ci, and in the moments when she said goodbye silently, the time spent in the youth training camp flashed through my mind like a fleeting glimpse. More than ten years have passed, and Tianying is still the same Tianying, a little monkey who only recognizes the squad leader. How nice. Time can change too many things, not to mention the more than ten years that belonged to agents during the war years. In Ah Si's words, that is how others live "two lifetimes". Looking at the first brothers alone - A Chu has changed from a doctor who is dedicated to saving lives and healing the wounded to Boss Yang and General Yang who are all in control of black and white; A Ci has changed from a major adjutant who seems to be more difficult to write action reports than actions to an unpredictable military command Shanghai station commander - the changes are not small. Du Luning, who has always been in contact with Ah Ci, lamented that Ah Ci has matured and he almost doesn't recognize him anymore. With the continuous artillery fire, everything has changed. He and him, he and him, had fought side by side, had doubts and wariness, had risked their lives, had faced each other tit for tat... The situation was pressing, and they had never been able to say no. At this point in the entanglement, who can tell clearly whether they are enemies or friends? Ling Feng. Whether it's "Grinder" or "Wind and Cloud", Ling Feng's several appearances are all "amazing". After years of not seeing each other, Ling Feng, who had been in the CIA and mercenaries for several times, had a frightening scar on his face, but his self-confident and arrogant appearance had not changed. He was still scoundrel, somewhat arrogant, and sometimes had his own way of doing things. He is a true lone wolf, and the people he cares about plus those who are no longer alive may not even be able to count. The wolf is the most loyal. Like Xian Dong, Ling Feng chose to come back to save the country when the country was in danger. But in his heart, people are more important than the country, which is somewhat similar to Ah Chu - they are both "madmen" who are willing to set themselves on fire for their loved ones. Ling Feng worries less than Ah Chu, so he is "crazier" than Ah Chu. He forced Ah Ci to go to the front line with him to find Du Luning for an answer, but finally let Ah Ci come back safely. He must be envious of Ah Ci. He has Du Luning's preference and can stand by Du Luning's side openly as Du Luning's proud student. So he couldn't accept that Yang Muci was a liar and failed him in everything Du Lvning gave him. Neither Ling Feng nor A Ci could become the emotionless machines Du Lu Ning said, and even Du Lu Ning himself failed to do so. The three masters and apprentices went around in circles, making a mess. With Du Lvning gone, Lingfeng lost his last bond. From now on, the world will be big, and Ling Feng is afraid that he will carry out the "loneliness" of the "lone wolf" to the end. Promotion When I watched the show before, I really disliked the eldest young master of the Rong family. His image of a feudal patriarch who punished Ah Chu with great arrogance left a shadow in my heart. It was "The Storm" that slowly changed my view of him. Later, when I watched the show again, probably because I felt calmer, my evaluation of Rong Shao was not so extreme. By now I have fallen in love with Young Master Rong. He does have a proper feudal patriarchal aspect to him. He is occasionally a little domineering, but he never uses his power to overwhelm others. For Ah Chu, Young Master Rong is both a brother and a father, who will guide and enlighten him at the crossroads in Ah Chu's life. In the second half of "Wind and Cloud", Rongsheng has completely become the image of Ah Chu's brother, worrying about his two younger brothers while trying his best to stabilize the rear for them. If A Chu could ask where he could complain and relax, it would be Brother Rong. The Rong family with Rong Sheng is Ah Chu's home. Yashu To be honest, I really couldn't fall in love with Yashu in the drama. Whether she was the charming lady in the early stage or the messy and complicated identity later on, my reaction when I saw her appear was: "Here she comes, she comes again", "Just adding to the chaos"... Until the end, she became Ah Chu's wife and Ah Ci's sister-in-law. Her temperament completely changed, and I had a slight change in her. Watching the two scenes of her separation and death from Ah Chu made me very sad. I suddenly discovered that she and Ah Ci were very similar - they generally had no childhood, they generally grew up in lies, and they generally couldn't keep Ah Chu. Thinking about it this way, it seems that Ah Ci is luckier than Yashu, at least there is Yang Yuhua who sincerely protects him. In "The Wind and Cloud", Yashu enters the game because of love and lurks around the first time as a military spy. It must be mentioned that Du Luning is too cruel to others. Fortunately, Ah Ci took back his "sister-in-law" at all costs. Her return makes Songxue Street truly feel like a home, and now Ah Chu and Ah Ci have their lovers by their side. Looking back, I always look forward to Yashu's appearance, because she always wears an apron and holds a spatula, injecting smoke and smoke into the cold and alienated world. With her here, I believe Ah Chu can feel happy. There are also An Ran, Xiao Yun, Yu Lan, Liu Asi, Long Tao, Xiao Guogai, Xue Ying, Long Long... They are all Chinese people who are determined to break through the darkness. Some of them are left forever on the road to find the light, and the rest of them have crossed the piles of bones to inherit their legacy and recommend Xuanyuan. The trend of the times is overwhelming, and the precarious page of China has been turned over. It was they who turned the page together. Grateful. The second time I read "The Wind and Cloud" completely was on a typhoon day. The glass window with a crack left was slapped loudly, and the gloomy sky dropped heavy rain from time to time... It has been a long time since there has been such a "powerful" typhoon, which is just right to set the atmosphere for the next episode of "Wind and Cloud". The year we first met, I was still in junior high school. Looking back now, the first time I saw them was when I was hanging out in my grandma's room after studying. The first episode just started to air. On a dark rainy night, a group of Japanese were chasing and killing a Chinese... I silently commented that it was "pretending to be mysterious", and it seemed that he left before Ah Ci appeared? Fortunately, I didn't miss them in the end. I remember that during the summer vacation that year, many TV stations were showing Hot Shots, so I would change the channels and watch it over and over again. I still vividly remember the scene when I saw the ending for the first time... Ah Ci's tragic success made me obsessed with it, so one day when I was bored, I accidentally entered the four words "on the verge of breaking out" in the search box, and walked into "The Wind and Cloud". With "Wind and Cloud" as a "point of origin", I met many friends and came into contact with a world that I had never imagined in the past. If there was no "Wind and Cloud"... Thinking about it makes people feel regretful and lost. In 2020, "Wind and Cloud" was completed. Two years later, at the turn of summer and autumn, I finally read it from beginning to end again. Exactly ten years. It's been exactly ten years since "Trigger" was broadcast in 2012 to today. During this period, I moved "home" several times with "Wind and Cloud". I often looked back and looked forward to it. Waiting has become a habit. I even occasionally think that it would be nice to just keep waiting like this, and the story of Ah Chu and Ah Ci will never be finished. Almost a lot of time has passed between the inside and outside of the book. Outside the book, I was thinking about the handsome man in military uniform in the book, while he joined the army in blue and became a reserve police officer. I will graduate next year, and if nothing else goes wrong, I should officially join the ranks of the people's police. (By the way, during the winter vacation internship last year, Mr. Zhong Hanliang happened to come to the police station where I was filming. After learning the news, I slept directly in the police station that night. The next day, I followed the crew and worked as half of the crew for the whole day... I was so happy. This is fate. This is it!) It's hard for me to say whether I was influenced by Ah Ci when I embarked on this road, but I think Ah Ci will be my closest soul partner in my long journey as a police officer. I don't have the courage to become a soldier like him, so I will do something for this country in my own way. I am willing to be like him and believe that the imperfect country of today will eventually move forward. I believe that even if the night is endless at this moment, the sun will still rise from the east tomorrow. Please Comrade Yang Muchi supervise me to stand upright and never forget my original intention! (Salute!) Okay, step on the watermelon rind, that's about it. At last! Must thank you thank you cat for such a wonderful story!!! No matter how many times I read it, I still like "The First Time on the Beach" very much!!! (Roar!) I wish you all a happy National Day, peace and happiness~ (clasp your fists)
I cried to death. Lao Du, he finally went abroad. At least he won't have to suffer torture in China from now on.
From 15 years to now, Fengyun has ended and Spreading Flowers. Although the plot may have been forgotten and become blurry, I will remember the days and nights when I read the article and every night I stayed up. Thank you cat, thank you Fengyun, and thank you to everyone I met.
The first episode in Shanghai is really beautiful. I have been chasing it for many years and finally saw the ending. I cried miserably. It is so difficult for first time brothers in such a background. Thank you Maomao for giving a complete story. In my heart, this is the real life of their brothers!
It's over, thank you Maomao. It's really great that Maomao has persisted for so many years. Maomao lets his first brothers accompany us through these journeys, and their laughter, tears, and blood concern our emotions. There will never be another film and television work that affects me like them. It seems to be fiction, but also seems to be real. I will think of them whenever and wherever something relevant happens. Countless times, I tried to figure out how they felt for the first time, using Xiaowa's face and demeanor to imagine their expressions. And Maomao's works are an enrichment of their characters. The plot is ups and downs and wonderful, expanding into a Shanghai business world dominated by first-timers, and the wonderful world of military and political fields on both sides, showing some sketches of that turbulent era. From Du Yuesheng, Dai Chunfeng, and Mao Wanli with a few strokes, to Ah Si and Long Ge with thick and heavy ink, to Yuechun, Xue Lang, and the annoying special correspondent. Maomao has built an independent and wonderful world. The characters of the supporting characters are also rich and unique, and together they have built the eight-year Republic of China era. It was a pleasure to read, and I loved it so much that I didn't want to put it down. Finally, thank you Maomao (the name of Tiandu Garden Hahaha post bar sounds like it goes back to the time when I stayed up late when I first read the first chapter), thank you for allowing the first time to continue in parallel time. ???
Thank you Maomao, thank you for the first time brother
After chasing it for a long time, it has been updated. Although the ending is so helpless, it finally has an ending for the first time. I love Mao Mao's "First Brother" so much. I can't help but sigh when I think of the youth again and again in Sharpening the Sword.
I've been chasing him for so many years, I can't even remember.
I have been chasing him from Tieba to Jinjiang for several years. I am heartbroken for the first time. Brother, the writing is really good.
Thank you Meow for writing such an ending for the first time. The most beloved first sequel that I have been following for several years.
