The Dragon Knight Guild's Guide to Raising Humans

Dragons are the strongest race on the continent. Adult dragons have long lifespans, boundless wisdom, powerful bodies, and overwhelming magic. Dragon knights are the strongest soldiers in legend: humans who can make dragons submit and serve as their mounts. They wield terrifying long-range magic and possess devastating close-combat strength. Dragon knights are rare. It's not just because working with a dragon requires grueling training. A dragon knight also has to catch a dragon's eye, which is even harder than love at first sight. There are fewer than a thousand dragons in the whole world, and only a tiny fraction of them like humans. Most humans can't withstand a dragon's "affection," either. Naturally, the road to becoming a dragon knight is arduous and long, which makes this Guide to Raising Humans for the Dragon Riders' Guild especially important. Hmm... The wording of the title is a little strange, but don't let that bother you. Once you become a dragon knight and open the first page, you'll find your entire worldview turned upside down. The first page bears a line of elegant, archaic script: To long-lived and powerful dragons, short-lived, sickly, fickle, and flirtatious humans may seem like cats: adorable and lovable, yet difficult to please. This book will teach you every way to please these little darlings and get them to play with you.
