Rejecting Love-Brain Syndrome in the Beast World

The zombies surrounded the city, and the base fell. Su Qingyan thought she would have to die alongside her sister. When she opened her eyes, she discovered she wasn't in the underworld. She was in an unfamiliar otherworld, a world of beastmen! She had lost all her powers, yet encountered a fifth-rank beast. Just as she thought she'd have to start over again, a snake beastman saved her. Having survived the ordeal, she watched the snake beastman transform into human form. He solemnly told her, "I saved you. According to the rules of the Qingmu Continent, you have to become my mate, and you can only have me as your male partner!" Su Qingyan: "??????" At first, Su Qingyan focused on the first half of what he said. But after finding her sister, Su Lingyue, she learned that the second half was the real problem! In this beast world, it was legal for one female to have multiple male partners! Anyone in a one-on-one relationship would be hunted down by the entire continent! Reader's guide: 1. This is a one-on-one romance with a single-couple ending. The male lead is a snake beastman, and the female lead is a human. 2. Neither lead is purely good. They are both scheming and strategic, and will stop at nothing to achieve their goals. 3. The worldbuilding and rank system are all made up. Please don't nitpick. 4. The pacing is on the slow side. Theme: Never give up on yourself, no matter how hopeless things seem.
