A Flower from the Other Shore as Matchmaker

The Buddhist scriptures say: The flower of the other shore blooms for a thousand years, then withers for a thousand years. Its flowers and leaves never meet. Love is not bound by cause and effect; fate decides life and death.

Manjusaka, one glimpse of you at the Jade Pool, and I could never forget your face. I guarded the mandala flowers for tens of thousands of years, surrounded by blossoms and alone, until I met you.

Strange and clever, bright and charming. The first time I held your hand, I realized my heart could beat so fast. Who says immortals have no feelings?

For you, what does it matter if I endure the cycle of life and death for thousands upon thousands of years? One bowl of Meng Po's soup would make me forget my past life. There is no right or wrong by the Three Lives Stone, and what can be done at the Bridge of Helplessness? I would never drink that bowl of Meng Po's soup. I want to remember you, life after life.

Love is not bound by cause and effect; fate had long since decided life and death.
