A rewritten version of Let's Pair Up for Danmei. Since I revised it, I decided to post it anyway. The changes were so extensive that I opened a new one. It's been so long, so I'm reheating an old dish and saving it here.
Rewriting this story doesn't really serve any purpose, but I've never been able to get over it. Back then, my understanding was shallow, and I wrote countless plot holes. I tried to revise it several times, but the original was so awful that I had no idea where to start.
In the end, I simply rewrote the whole thing. The general direction is unchanged, but almost all the scenes and wording are different.
I still want to express how differently people can view the same thing, how the ideas of one community can clash with another, and how tastes and favorite tropes can differ. Nothing is completely right or wrong; it all depends on your perspective.
So there may be plenty of views that seem completely wrong, followed by another character arguing against them. Some characters may be hard to like, and everyone is full of one kind of self-righteousness or another.
Then, one by one, those ideas will be challenged.
I also changed the title, though it's not much better than the original.
Of course, at the end of the day, it's still a love story. With my writing skills, just expressing the characters' feelings clearly is already an accomplishment. As for the other ideas, I'll do my best to show them, but don't expect too much.
A few warnings upfront: a split-personality girl-top. Slightly switch roles, but don't expect a power couple in this story. Lots of emoticons. Lots of online chats. The older sister has a major role. The POV switches between two perspectives at any time. Pay special attention: Ji Lin is the top! Finally, there are no explicit scenes in this story!
This story is purely fictional, so please don't read yourself into it. I've been out of the online voice-acting scene for years and don't know much about its current state. Please forgive anything that doesn't seem accurate.
