Drunk on You, My Lord

If you want this realm, I will accompany you in armor and on horseback, crossing every inch of this vast land. If you lose this realm, I will follow you to the ends of the earth, sword in hand, living and dying with you.

The first time he saw him, the man had his money pouch stolen and didn't even know it. He watched coldly from the sidelines, silently mocking him. The man whose pouch had been stolen met his eyes through the sea of people. He didn't know then that this one glance would determine everything that followed.

"I'll teach you martial arts!" Amid the chaos of war, he taught him to take up a sword and break through the clouds to see the sun.

"From now on, would you call me Zihua?"

He was the one who slowly brought his numb heart back to life.

"From now on, your name is Zigao, Han Zigao."

He gave him this new name, never knowing it would bind him for the rest of his life. And yet he accepted it willingly, without a single complaint or regret.

Caught in his trap and ensnared by his spell, this man who couldn't even keep his money pouch safe became the one who bound him for life.

What is love? It is being unable to control your own fate, willingly sinking into it, and harboring no regrets.

From an ordinary soldier to a mighty general, he worked hard for only one reason: to stand behind him, so he would have no worries. You want this realm? I'll fight for it with you. You want peace? I'll bring it about with you.

But when the dust settled and he ascended the throne, he finally understood that he could never sit beside him and rule this realm.

"Zigao... I... can't..."

The pain in his eyes was real, but so was the resolve in them. He once said that if the day came when the man abandoned him, he would travel to the ends of the earth, a thousand miles or ten thousand miles away, never to see him again.

Could the ruler on the throne ever find the true heart he had lost? Could fourteen years of sharing life and death really be no match for the power of the throne? Could they really fail to overcome the passage of time?

Zihua, I have come to find you, even if I must search the highest heavens and the deepest hells.

Zigao, I'm sorry. Your Zihua has always been here.
