Got Guts

Ge Chao had broken his leg and was recovering at home for barely two weeks when rumors started flying around school that the new transfer student in his class had cuckolded him. Ge Chao: Boring. Anyone who believes that is a dumbass! Then he found out that his buddies had gone looking for trouble with the transfer student, only to get outplayed. They'd all been hauled to the discipline office to write self-criticisms. Ge Chao: ...The dumbass was right beside me all along. But dumb or not, he still had to get his buddies' revenge. The next day, Ge Chao returned to school with his leg still injured. He saw the transfer student in a neat school uniform and black-rimmed glasses, looking honest and bookish. He was so worried the kid's scrawny body wouldn't be able to take even one punch from him. Ge Chao didn't want to bully someone weaker, so he decided to let him off with an apology. But when the appointed time and place came, the nerdy transfer student was nowhere to be seen. Instead, the discipline director arrived, his face dark as the bottom of a pot... Ge Chao: Damn it! You're old enough to be an adult, and you still went crying to a teacher?! You pretty boy, what a coward! Not long afterward... Ge Chao saw with his own eyes as the nerdy Ji Liao Chuan took down a group of street thugs in just a few moves in the alley behind a bar. The other boy cockily lifted Ge Chao's chin with a drumstick. His sharp brows and eyes, unobscured by his glasses, looked down at him through the hazy gray-white smoke as he asked carelessly, "Do you still want to find out whether I'm a coward?"
