Evening Eyes, Evening Clouds

He possesses powerful spiritual abilities and can see demons, but no one else understands him, and he suffers constant abuse. After losing his parents, he is adopted by the Fujiwaras, yet he remains gentle and kind to others. Strong, optimistic, kind, and warmhearted, he is often targeted by demons because of the Book of Friends. He never fears danger if it means helping them. He is Natsume Takashi, and at his side is a cat who transforms into a gigantic demon named Madara.

He is the strongest delinquent, proud and aloof. He loves his school so much that he refuses to graduate, and his background remains a mystery. He hates crowds and the weak, and is fiercely eager to fight anyone strong. Proud and powerful, he stays true to himself and refuses to be bound by anything. He is praised as the solitary floating cloud. He is Hibari Kyoya, and at his side is a little bird named Hibird. Despite his nature, he is unusually gentle and patient with small animals.

By chance, these two utterly different people meet.

“I know he isn't as cold as he seems, because the warmth in his heart is beyond anything I could ever hope to match,” Natsume says.

“I don't think his kindness is like anyone else's, because he is unique, so unique that I can't help but acknowledge him,” Hibari says.

They look at each other and smile. In the distance, the setting sun sinks below the horizon, stretching their shadows across the hillside.

“For the first time, I know I can be with someone like this.”

“Me too. And now, I hope we can keep walking together like this...”

The story of Natsume and Hibari begins here.
