Cold Wilderness by the Waterfall

I wrote this story to commemorate the four years I spent playing the online game "World of Legend".

Many settings are borrowed from the game, such as Sand City, the Forbidden Grounds’ Baiyun Temple, Zhongzhou, and the Western Regions’ Sky-Piercing Tower. The names of monsters, such as the Forbidden Grounds’ Demon King, the Sky-Piercing Sect Master, and the Shadow Asura, as well as weapons like the Dragon-Slaying Saber, Blood-Drinking Spirit Sword, Soul-Devouring Wand, and Thunderclap Slash, are also borrowed, though they differ in some respects from the official descriptions. This is a story steeped in fantasy.

The story begins in a very clichéd way, but as it unfolds, it will open up a whole new world :)

I’ve tried to preserve the style of classical Chinese, dressing it up with concise, clear vocabulary and awkward, obscure phrasing. I hope that doesn’t backfire.
