My next Book Transmigration novel, The Divine Official Is a Wimp [Book Transmigration]. Please bow and ask you to add it to your collections.
--- Novel blurb below ---
Warning: Over-the-top melodrama and familiar tropes, with a big, bold HE ending. The first half puts the bottom through the wringer; in the second half, the top has to win his wife back the hard way.
In short: One wants revenge, the other wants to flirt. They are evenly matched, neither gets the better of the other, so they might as well settle down and be sickeningly sweet together.
Official blurb:
The mysterious young scholar Tang Qinghuan became the darling of Yangzhou's powerful and wealthy the moment he arrived in the city. He accepted every invitation, turning no one away, but made an exception when it came to Prince Yan Changfeng, refusing to do him the honor.
Yan Changfeng took an instant dislike to him. But the moment he had Qinghuan hauled in front of him, Qinghuan gave him a shocking present: he left the peerlessly elegant Lord Song, a guest at Yan Changfeng's residence, half-crippled.
In a single day, Qinghuan became a prisoner. Yan Changfeng dug a hole and buried him in it...
Qinghuan: "Your Highness, are you planning to plant radishes, so you'll have a whole crop of little radishes later?"
Yan Changfeng: "You sure have a sharp tongue. The dirt couldn't suffocate you, so next time I'll try throwing you in the river."
Qinghuan: "Go ahead and try."
The young prince took him seriously and made a habit of bullying him by digging holes for him to play in. Though trapped in a desperate situation, Qinghuan managed to emerge unscathed. Not only did he spread that scandal far and wide, he also managed to disappear without a trace.
Only then did Yan Changfeng realize that he had fallen for this sharp-tongued, shameless rascal.
At long last, he managed to bring Qinghuan back, only to find that Qinghuan wouldn't even give him a proper look. Instead, he spent every day hovering around Emperor Qi Zhao, praising him as a handsome and valiant man.
Yan Changfeng hauled him in front of him and warned, "You belong to me. You're not allowed to see him again."
Qinghuan propped his chin on his hand and smiled. "If you're so capable, go become emperor. I'll love whoever's emperor."
Yan Changfeng tilted his head back and sighed. "If it makes you happy, I suppose it's not impossible..."
Reading guide:
1. The bottom is beautiful but not frail, and highly skilled in martial arts. Everything is an act. The top may be scheming, but he isn't a scumbag. He has no romantic interest in the disposable second male lead; the flirtation is just a deliberate act to fool the emperor. The first half puts the bottom through the wringer. He could fight back but deliberately doesn't, setting a trap to get revenge. In the second half, the top has to win him back. Sweet, sweet, sweet. A big, bold HE ending.
2. As usual, both leads are each other's one and only.
3. The entire novel is already written, so there won't be any missed updates. It's a safe bet.
4. The setting is entirely fictional. The characters' values do not represent the author's. Many bows.

Blurb below:
Bottom: Gu Ran. Top: Pei Fenglin.
While watching the excitement from the roadside, bystander Gu Ran was accidentally hit in the temple by a flying liquor bottle and died on the spot. To his surprise, he transmigrated into a supernatural novel about ghosts and monsters. Not only did he discover that it was the very BL novel he'd only glanced at before and found so cringe-inducing he'd nearly puked, but worse, he'd become the melodramatic male background character. And he's afraid of men!
In the novel, Gu Ran is a pretty bottom who starts from nothing by swindling people. Blessed with yin-yang eyes, he tells people's fortunes and draws talismans, living off others and enjoying a carefree life.
Unfortunately, he runs into Pei Fenglin, a domineering, scheming Spirit Realm Envoy, and Pei's peerlessly charming Daoist partner, Lin Jiwei. The first time he meets them, they chase him for thirty li, and he runs for his life with every ounce of strength he has.
The book says that Pei Fenglin, as a Spirit Realm Envoy, specializes in tracking down and killing evil spirits. The background character Gu Ran is the unluckiest of them all. He dies horribly in the novel, comes back to life three times after dying, and in the end Pei Fenglin grinds him into dust before finally stopping. Oh, how tragic!
To make sure he has a better-looking death, Gu Ran uses every trick he can think of to avoid those two murderous fiends. But fate keeps throwing them together. In the end, Gu Ran grits his teeth and decides to go for it. This time, he doesn't want to die. Fine, then, he might as well make Pei Fenglin fall in love with him.
Pei Fenglin has no idea what's going on. Seeing Gu Ran's tear-streaked face, he can't help but soften. Just as he's about to make an unprecedented exception and let him go, Gu Ran tricks him and steals his token. Without the token, his protective artifact, Pei Fenglin is immediately struck by a backlash and becomes the target of the evil spirits.
Gu Ran watches the spectacle, picking at his feet. "My lord, leave some room for others, and you'll meet again someday. Regretting offending me now, huh?"
Pei Fenglin calmly locks their wrists together. "Sorry. I'll have to use your little body to help me withstand the evil spirits. My apologies."
Gu Ran can't escape, so he simply sticks around and refuses to leave.
Gu Ran tells Pei Fenglin, "I want to be with you."
Pei Fenglin turns him down. "I already have someone I like."
Gu Ran says, "Then how about this: promise me three lifetimes in our next life, and I'll be with you in all of them."
Pei Fenglin, worn down by his persistence, gives him a perfunctory answer. "I'll promise you one lifetime in our next life. The other two have to be saved for someone else."
Unexpectedly, Gu Ran turns around and kills Pei Fenglin with his own hands, then kills himself.
When Pei Fenglin opens his eyes, the first thing he sees is Gu Ran's face. Gu Ran says triumphantly, "Just as you wished. You're mine now."
But what goes around comes around. Pei Fenglin used to look down on Gu Ran in every way. After being reborn, however, Gu Ran awakens to his identity as a divine official. The former streetwise little rogue transforms into a cool and aloof divine official, wielding great power and inspiring both awe and distance.
Except that's still an act. The divine official is still a goofy hothead who refuses to play by the rules. While tracking evil spirits, he keeps secretly letting people go, and one look from him is enough to make Pei Fenglin's heart soften. Pei Fenglin is so frustrated he can't do anything about it. After all, Gu Ran is cute, clever, and lovable. Just when Pei Fenglin has finally resolved to stay by his side for the rest of their lives, the rascal changes his mind. "Good thing you didn't promise me three lifetimes back then. I've got someone I like for the next two lives!"
This is a 1v1 story, with two chaste leads: a lovestruck, hot-tempered, gorgeous bottom and a domineering, charming, multiple-personality top.
A sweet story, an extra-sweet story, with an HE ending.
Plot-driven, with the couple joining forces to exorcise demons and fight monsters. There's a plot, but it's not scary.
Sweet without being cloying, full of romantic affection, and the writing style is as unhinged as ever.
Theme: Forget hatred and keep moving forward, with the help of love and family affection.
Just like this, he could have died directly. Not a day goes by without being beaten or kicked.
I cried when I saw it, it was really cruel to my body and heart.
