[Snow White with the Red Hair] Hanayaka

I wanted eyes that held a miniature of the sky he saw, and long hair with golden sunlight dancing through it. I wanted to know more about him, to understand his world, to accompany him across countless mountains and rivers, and to grow old and die with him. I wanted to become human. Yura Shigure Hana, who fell in love with a black-haired boy, gave up her eternal life and gained a life of her own: a father who doted on her, a gentle mother who died young, an obnoxious and narcissistic older brother, and a tsundere childhood friend. But everything went off course when, at eighteen, she met that black-haired boy in Clarines. As she watched the canon couple show off their affection day after day, the girl, who had maxed out her herbalism skills, found herself sinking deeper and deeper without even realizing it... The Chiyuki and Zen pairing is the best, and they absolutely must not be split up. The story is set six years later. Ryuu is eighteen, and the canon couple have already made it official. The female lead, Flora, is a goofy little angel with a fake yuri streak. The main pairing is Ryuu and Hana. The inspiration came from a comment saying that Ryuu's true partner is actually Yura Shigure Hana (laughs). The heroine is named Flora Scarlet. Flora is the Greek goddess of flowers, and Scarlet means crimson, an obvious hint. Her romantic path goes from Shirayuki to Ryuu: first she falls for a girl, then Ryuu turns her straight. The story has a lighthearted fairy-tale tone, with occasional shades of serious realism. All the original characters will appear, and aside from Chiyuki and Zen, the other pairings will get roughly equal attention. I'll try to avoid making the heroine overly idealized or the story too childish, so enjoy without worry. First posted on the Akagami no Shirayukihime forum, and it has little to do with Hanasaku Iroha.
