Long ago, the nine-tailed fox descended to the mortal world on Nuwa’s orders to bewitch Di Xin, only to meet a tragic end, executed for bringing ruin upon the kingdom and its people. Hu Si searched for thousands of years to take revenge, going so far as to practice forbidden arts and face heavenly tribulation. That night, thunder shook the heavens and the earth. Hu Si endured the agony of being burned in purgatorial flames, sealed away a thousand years of cultivation, and became a little fox.
That night, Feng Yuqiu adopted a little fox, unaware that it would become the love trial he could never escape in this life.
By the time Feng Yuqiu recognized his true feelings, Hu Si could already see his true form.
Beneath Qingqiu, the shame of the fox clan’s slaughter still lay before his eyes. He took a step back and said in a daze:
“You are a descendant of Nuwa.”
