What's it like to have a boyfriend who's more eloquent than you?
When politely refusing to go out for a meal together:
Su Qingze: "As a thank-you, let me treat you to dinner."
"No need," Weiran said after a moment's thought. "You just helped me out of a tight spot, so we're even."
"Mm," Su Qingze replied calmly. "I got permission to skip this morning's class, so I didn't need to answer roll call. And you just said I helped you out of a tight spot, so you can treat me to dinner."
Weiran stared at him, dumbfounded. Were all law students this good with words? She was... speechless...
When one of them is lost in thought:
Walking behind him, Weiran stared at his back and wondered if she was too short or he was too tall. Why did she feel so much shorter than him?
"What are you thinking about?"
"Why are you so tall?" The moment she said it, Weiran regretted it. Why did she always let her guard down around him?
Su Qingze just smiled. "I'm probably fifteen centimeters taller than you. It's just right."
When his imagination runs wild:
Weiran recalled a news story. "I remember seeing something in the news a while ago saying that the front passenger seat is the most dangerous. If there's an accident, you die together with the driver."
Su Qingze seemed quite pleased. "Sounds good."
"Huh?" Weiran didn't understand.
"We may not share a bed in life, but we'll share a grave in death."
Weiran's inner thoughts: You're the expert. Whatever makes you happy.
