The Abandoned Pawn (Yi Chen X Manli, Foye X Manli)

It all started with a plot bunny. Yu Manli from The Disguiser, and An Yichen from The Aroma of Time. They're both from the Republican era, so what sparks might fly if their worlds crossed? Yu Manli has endured too much, and An Yichen carries too many burdens. Since they're not the main characters, no one sympathizes with them or understands them. What if little Manli survived her fall from the city wall and met An Yichen? He could teach her to grow, and she could teach him to let go. What would their story be like over the long years that followed? I might as well give it a try~ Honestly, there are just too few fan works to go around, nowhere near enough to satisfy me, so I had to become self-sufficient and make my own. I just thought of Shen Wentao from Destined to Love You, so maybe I'll pair him with our little Manli in my next story. Hahaha, I'm firmly committed to BG and not budging! Theme:
