The Emperor's Teacher

Everyone in the country knew that Crown Prince Qin Yulian was an idiot. Everyone in the country knew that An Yanzhi, Junior Tutor to the Crown Prince, was a genius. Before entering the Eastern Palace, the genius An Yanzhi said, "So what if he's the Crown Prince? Surely I can handle one little brat."

After entering the Eastern Palace, things went like this.

Genius An Yanzhi (rubbing his forehead): "Yulian, your tutor is scared of you. Get down first..."

Genius An Yanzhi (helpless): "Yulian, your tutor was wrong. Come out first..."

Genius An Yanzhi (breaking down): "Yulian, your tutor is begging you..."

Qin Yulian: "Tutor, everyone under heaven thinks I'm an idiot."

An Yanzhi: "Whether you are an idiot isn't for the world to decide."

Indeed, amid the shifting fortunes of the imperial capital, what is real, and what is false? The mad have gone mad, and the fools have become fools, but who is the real idiot?
