This is a youth campus novel that tells the story of what Xu Hui, a trainee teacher, saw and heard at Liujiang Middle School. It is divided into two parts. The upper part is a romance chapter, focusing on romance; the lower part is a martial arts chapter, focusing on action.
The romance chapter is based on the background of the story of the working emperor Zhang Shouyi looking for his wife and children. It quotes his entrepreneurial experience and a 40-year feud with a wealthy family, namely the history of the Wen family's grievances. Zhang Shouyi married Wen Wenhui, a wealthy daughter. His father Wen Zhangyuan inherited the ancestral business and vowed to revitalize national enterprises. Wen Zhangyuan's father had an illegitimate son, Wen Hong. Due to historical reasons, he had to abandon Wen Hong's mother and son to seek refuge abroad. Wen Hong was full of hatred for the Wen family. His business struggle with Wen Zhangyuan and his son-in-law Zhang Shouyi was short but thrilling. In the end, Wen Hong killed Wen Zhangyuan and seized power in the company. In the end, Zhang Shouyi turned around with the help of lawyer Zhou Tian, and regained his old love with the help of Xu Hui, an intern teacher from Class 05 (2).
The martial arts chapter tells several stories in sections: a street fight between gangs, showing a little bit of Ma Ge's style; Cui Jun massacres a bar at night; a basketball game, using Jin Yong-style martial arts techniques to depict the basketball game, making the movements gorgeous but humorous; Zhang Zhenzhen's cooking skills also show the style of a generation of god of food.
Although the narrative styles of the two articles are very different, almost all the stories are related and appear scattered but not chaotic. Moreover, the sensationalism of the martial arts chapter in the lower part can be said to be more sophisticated than that of the romance chapter in the upper part.
