The Legend of Qin: Night Candle

What is martial arts? Is it being invincible under heaven, or drawing your sword to help the helpless and upholding justice throughout the martial world?

Xie Qing says neither.

No one can stand undefeated on martial skills alone, and no martial artist can truly bear the word "righteousness."

The hands of those in the martial world are stained with blood. To be loyal to one person means being disloyal to another.

Xie Qing does not consider herself a sage, nor has she ever dreamed of carrying out the "great righteousness" everyone longs for.

She would risk life and limb for her friends, but only because of one word: affection. It has nothing to do with righteousness.

Xie Qing never flaunts her martial arts, even though they are well worth showing off.

She says martial arts are a dangerous thing. In this life, it is better to be kind.
