[Ping Xie] The Entwined Branches' Tomb

A short historical fantasy, happy ending.

Inspired by Tacke Zhūsang's song of the same name.

Lyrics included at the end.

[Excerpt]

That night, wild snow knocked at the camp gate; broken spears and warhorses rang out.

I buried your loyalty through the ages, and built a city of longing.

On the city wall, papers bearing fame drifted down; beyond the walls, green mountains stretched on.

Seated before the weeds on your grave, I raised my wine and spoke of our lives.

I filled a cup, and in the blink of an eye, another spring had come.

We arrived one after another at the head of the road to the Yellow Springs. Why drink in regret?
