Reigning Supreme in an Otome Game's Bad End

1.

Fengshi was born in Sengoku Basara.

It's an action game where players control famous Japanese warlords from the Sengoku period, taking on a thousand enemies at once and mowing them down like grass. She was one of the countless foot soldiers treated like blades of grass.

Through countless cycles of the game, she awakened one day.

With a will of her own and a name someone had given her, she stepped onto the battlefield that had once belonged only to the great generals...

Alone with a single blade, she unified the land and won the title of "Sengoku's Greatest Warrior." After breaking out of her cage, Fengshi was sure she'd finally get to see a truly free world. Instead, she had only moved from one game to another...

Good news: Though her hard-won strength has been temporarily sealed, this is a romance game.

Bad news: The story has already reached its bad ending, and the threat of death is always at hand.

2.

It's the winter solstice on the Italian Peninsula. The Adriatic Sea sends relentless wind and rain sweeping across the coastal city of Brulona.

Fengshi opens her eyes to find herself the mistress of the Falzone family, the Mafia family that rules the entire city.

She has a maid who never leaves her side, a pair of legs that can no longer walk, and a husband who always seems cold and gloomy.

Her young and handsome husband often arrives smelling of blood and damp decay.

[Your lover is imprisoned in the dungeon, his fate unknown. To save him, you resolve to give up everything.]

A notification from the game System lights up in the corner of her vision. Her husband bends down to kiss her, one hand braced on her wheelchair, the dark red stain on his cuff glaringly vivid.

"Wait a moment," Fengshi earnestly asks the System in her mind. "Can't I just take him hostage and use him to save the prisoner? I don't think he can beat me..."
