[Journey to the West] The Buddha Takes Me on a Trip

Updates have slowed down lately. I'm sorry, my dear readers. Midterms are here, and the homework has suddenly gotten harder. VV has been wrestling with schoolwork lately... Still, thank you all for your continued support. VV won't give up! Actually, I want to focus on what happens after the Journey to the West is over: Hongyu keeps traveling west and exploring the world, then accidentally gets dragged off to Flower-Fruit Mountain by the Great Sage Equal to Heaven and violently put in her place!!! I also want to write about Huangtao!!!! When will I ever get to that!! What do you want to see in the later parts? I'll pick out the important bits and write them. Let's just jump straight to the Stone Monkey pursuing his wife plotline! This was only an agreement between her and the Tathagata, though she was the one who gave far more. She gave her love to a monkey. Though that monkey seemed to return her love, she still felt something was off. And yet, it also seemed like the best possible outcome. "What?! This blurb is wrong!" "Amitabha Buddha. It's right in every way." This is the story of an atheist girl who, under the Tathagata's petty arrangements, takes the place of the Golden Cicada and sets off on the Journey to the West. Only, to a Pilgrim with no faith, this is really just a chance to go traveling on the public dime for free. This is a story about traveling with a monkey. This is a story about accidentally falling in love with a monkey. It's a story about you loving a monkey, and the monkey loving you back. The female lead is a Mary Sue. Everyone loves her. Really, this is just the author's self-indulgent daydream. Although this is definitely a fun, sweet story, a little angst can be delightful, while too much can be damaging. For the sake of a certain effect, there has to be some angst.
