[The Investiture of the Gods: Heroes] Back Then, It Was Nothing Special

A thousand years of waiting amounted to a fleeting bloom. No one knew the pain it held, much less what true devotion meant. By now, this life felt as if it had never been lived. Only here had he finally found a reason to exist. Perhaps everything had truly been decided by Heaven long ago. Heaven said this would be the greatest protection of your life, but at the same time, it would be your tribulation. When the end really came, he could only sink into it. Even the Nine Revolutions that defied Heaven and traversed the skies could not escape this sea of fate... Is there any point in struggling? In the end, he wasn't that person, even though he looked so very much like him. He still remembered that nonexistent place, where someone had once cried out to the heavens, proud and defiant. My fate is mine to command, not Heaven's! The same character will always appear differently in different people's eyes, just as a person can be portrayed in different ways in a TV drama. Perhaps he isn't the Yang Jian in my heart, but I want to create a different story for him. This is an all-Yang Jian story, inspired mainly by a short fic on Tieba. Actually, Yang Jian in Investiture of the Gods: Heroes List was pretty much a submissive bottom at first, ahem.
