The Black Donkey Hoof Emporium

(The crossover fic Black Donkey Hoof Coffin Shop is now underway. Visit my profile to check it out!) “Their signature dish, black donkey hooves, is tender and fragrant, even better than the ones I had in 1923. The place is small, though, so you’ll have to wait if you arrive late. The owner is nice and gives a 20% discount. I’ll definitely come back.” Big Zong Review, the tomb-raiding world’s number-one food review site Wen Baiyu runs a little restaurant and wants nothing more than to cook in peace. He never expected that, once night falls, all the customers who come in would be weirdos. Since when did black donkey hooves and soul-returning soup become the restaurant’s signature dishes? Wen Baiyu certainly doesn’t remember that! The customers aren’t just acting strange: they all stare at him with unnerving looks. Wen Baiyu can’t help feeling as if he’s the one on their plates... Hundun is a famous celebrity, Taotie has become a rich heir, and Zhong Kui works in insurance by day and hunts demons on the side. Then there’s the handsome, stone-faced new employee, supposedly a zongzi king who’s lived for thousands of years. He stands outside the restaurant, and suddenly no customers dare come in at night. It couldn’t be better, haha! Wen Baiyu: This place does not serve black donkey hooves! We do not serve black donkey hooves! We do not serve black donkey hooves! I’ll say it three times because it’s important. Wanqi Jinghou (stone-faced): My sweetheart is always trying to hand me over to the government. Heh. Apparently, I’m supposed to include a reader’s guide: 1. Supernatural, tomb raiding, and a touch of food fiction. 2. Possessive, devoted top × feisty, energetic bottom (not a power couple!) 3. Lighthearted, one-on-one romance, happy ending. 4. Multiple couples. Theme:
