The Empire's Little Dumpling

Blurb -> This is the story of a little dumpling slowly growing up to become a queen, set in a futuristic interstellar world. Yi Tuan woke up from a nap and found that everything was wrong! No, that his whole dumpling self was wrong! He had actually turned into a dumpling! You can't turn me into a ball just because my name is Yi Tuan! Fine, I can live with growing into a ball, but will someone tell me, why did I turn into a species that's edible? Apparently it's exceptionally tender and juicy, good for roasting, frying, and even making soup! Everyone who's tried it says it's delicious! Just as he was about to be eaten, someone came to save this dumpling, riding on a rainbow cloud! Apparently he's the emperor of some empire or other! What, you say he's a tyrant? A murderous fiend? Pah! My savior is so handsome, dashing, and kind! He's the very picture of a heartthrob! He's the best person in the whole world! You bunch of blind fools! But, my heartthrob, you're really not thinking this through. I'm a dumpling, after all. Why are you making me your queen? I'm not qualified for the job! (A story in the Empire's Queen series, about Chester, the grandson of Awei. You don't need to have read the earlier books to enjoy this one.) Here's my profile.
