Priceless

The second young master of the Liu family, the richest family in Jingcheng, is a cut sleeve. Being one himself isn't enough; he also wants to drag Prince Jing into it.

On the night Prince Jing takes a concubine, he loses his footing and falls from the second floor of a pavilion whose railing has broken. And then...

His personal maid tells him, "I just pulled you out of the lotus pond, young master."

Second Young Master Liu: "...Why does my head hurt after falling into the water?"

The maid: "Because the chair you threw down the stairs hit you on the head."

Second Young Master Liu: "...Why did I throw the chair away?"

The maid: "Didn't you say you never wanted to see anything arranged by Prince Jing again?"

Second Young Master Liu: "...Why would I think that?"

The maid: "Stop avoiding the fact that Prince Jing is getting married early next month."

Second Young Master Liu: "...I think I've lost my memory."

Tentative extra: Lu Fu's Adventure

P.S. I searched online and discovered that some website thinks this story's other title is Granite. Good grief, is that because the old cover had a piece of granite on it? I suppose it's all resentment over getting a geography question wrong...
