A Fateful Bond in the Netherworld

Si Yan transmigrated into a book, landing in a series of novels called "Love Among the Immortals." The author, Shanshan Jun, is a wicked stepmother. In every book in the series, she kills off a male heartthrob, each with a bizarre and outlandish death. Two of the male heartthrobs Si Yan likes both die at the hands of the ultimate villain, the Heavenly Emperor Haotian. As a reader of the series, Si Yan eagerly awaited the final book every day, just to see the stepmother torment the Heavenly Emperor. But the stepmother is a champion procrastinator who never starts the next book. They say it's because she made Haotian so evil that she was too ashamed to begin. Then Si Yan transmigrated into the stepmother's tiny stash of unfinished drafts, and got spoiled in an instant: when Haotian was still a crown prince, the beloved red lotus beauty in his heart, the Buddhist maiden Honglian, died in front of him, full of resentment. But the stepmother hadn't finished writing the book. The rebirth and face-slapping plot had not been written at all. Don't ask. The stepmother just doesn't want to write a face-slapping story. She only wants to write angst. And the character Si Yan transmigrated into was none other than the Buddhist maiden Honglian. Honglian's Buddhist form could be male or female. As a woman, she was peerlessly beautiful and flirted with every handsome man in the divine realm. As a man, he was dashing and charming, with more than a dozen alluring, graceful lovers. Such a fashionable character, yet she was destined to die right at the beginning. Looking at the young Haotian, still tender and handsome, his eyes not yet hardened by the years, as he pointed his sword at her, Si Yan had just one question: So why was she reading an angst novel????? 1. The heroine is peerlessly beautiful and knows it. She's fickle, whether in a male or female body. 2. In the original setup, after the woman he loved died, the Heavenly Emperor went mad and couldn't stand seeing couples being lovey-dovey, so he tortured two of the series' most popular male leads to death. Theme: True love above all
