Chronicles of the Human World

Rumors about an obscure old temple and the secrets buried beneath it have drawn not only a folklore graduate student and a cultural relics researcher, but also domestic tomb raiders, overseas adventurers... and a phantom thief? A master thief? And an esper?? “Walking Encyclopedia” Ye Li, along with Lao Shen and Xiao Wang, fellow travelers she meets by chance, and a mysterious girl (?) who joins them along the way, explores deeper into the temple while evading unknown dangers. This is the beginning of a story about a mysterious people. Set in a modern alternate universe. Folklore, archaeology, tomb raiding? None of that! I'm too uncultured, so I can only make things up and fool people... Lately I've been reading so many tomb-raiding and archaeology novels that I dream about that stuff every night. After giving it some thought, I decided to start this story because some of those plot points seemed pretty fun (cliche). Illustrated version available elsewhere → →
