Claim the Throne

In the early autumn of the fifth year of Chengqian, the Sixth Prince was thrown into prison and exiled to the far northern frontier.

This is the story of a deeply unhinged prince who keeps picking people up on the way to exile (...), then keeps losing them (...), and is eventually devoured by the taciturn, secretly passionate young wolf he picked up, a hostage prince from Nanzhao. [Ahem, that was a fog]

Two years later, Nanzhao marches north, the Northern Army in the capital mutinies, and flames of war erupt throughout the realm. The couple, who have been conspiring together on the far northern frontier, discover that old grudges and new enmities, along with hatred between their nations and families, lie between them like the Milky Way. What are they to do?

So, really, this is the story of two unlucky men of illustrious birth who torment each other while struggling to restore their countries amid chaos, and ultimately contend for the throne of the world.

A poker-faced, secretly passionate, scheming seme, a younger hostage prince who is also a wife, VS a dissolute, carefree, sharp-tongued, unserious prince uke.

The seme has a special ability that lets him have sex with the uke from a distance [Ahem, fog], while the uke has maxed out his talent for courting disaster and periodically has a nervous breakdown.

One-on-one, happy ending.

***How to Pick Up People, Part One: Who cares if they're from another tribe, as long as they can cook.***

P.S. 1. This story is set in a fictional world. Government offices and artifacts from the Han, Wei, Jin, Tang, Song, Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties, as well as modern times, are all mixed together. Historical accuracy buffs, please move along.

2. There is a slight golden finger. Don't complain that it's unrealistic.

3. It's a fun story, but the plot does have to move forward, so a little angst is inevitable. Please don't cry when side characters get killed off (you might be crying for nothing).

4. The story is told from the uke's perspective. Don't complain when the seme goes missing in Volume Four. If you do, go read the title one hundred times.
