Fate: Angel's Wings

"Hey, Archer, do you think Heroic Spirits can fall in love with each other?"

"What made you ask that all of a sudden?"

"Nothing. I was just curious."

"Hmph. As long as this king agrees, there's nothing I can't do."

"What if I die...?"

Death is commonplace to me. In the eyes of my kingdom's people, I am no longer a beloved king, but an out-and-out tyrant. To my family, I'm just a stranger wearing the title of "king." To my ministers, I'm a bloodthirsty murderer who fills them with terror. Heh, what ridiculous titles. They don't know these are all traits passed down through my family, the Galen name. To claim the throne, I sacrificed the blood of a hundred commoners. On my birthday, I sacrificed the blood and bodies of five hundred nobles. My father, the previous king, did the same. I am a loner, shown no respect, only humiliation and hatred.

"Taster." Archer's gaze grew serious. "The woman this king chooses may have any number of flaws. I will still forgive her."

I fell into a warm embrace. [Excerpt from the story]

P.S.

1. King Galen is my original character. He was assassinated, and he is a tyrant who was shaped by his father's upbringing. During the Holy Grail War, his true nature emerges, turning the Conqueror King's worldview upside down.

2. All kinds of shameless, vulgar Mary Sue antics, speeding along as if using cheat codes.

3. The ending is very happy, just a little dark.

4. The pairing is set: Gilgamesh, one-on-one.
