Last night, I suddenly got the urge to catch up on the new Golden Light series. The scenes with Bai Niangniang and the Master caught my interest, so I went out of my way to watch their story. And then... after going so long without watching glove puppetry, my defenses had weakened, and once again I was left emotionally devastated...
I opened my military lady document tonight, intending to write an update, but all I could think about was those two. I felt so heartbroken and miserable, unable to get over it. That weight in my heart just wouldn't lift. I wasn't exactly sobbing my eyes out, but I just couldn't let them go. After two hours of dithering, I still hadn't written a single word.
I was at a loss, so I had no choice but to open a different document and write something to heal myself.
(Because of what Yu Xingyi says in the show, the Master slept for 50 years.)
So this is a little story about Jin Yanxia, set 50 years after Yibu Chankong transformed into a golden body. Of course, most importantly, I took that heartbreaking scene from the show and added a little something to turn it into a healing moment.
Now I feel much better.
