Love Chocobo

So many people are captivated by the youthful image of teen idol Lu Musheng on screen,

never knowing that after falling from the heights, he shut himself away, living alone within self-imposed walls.

Like a chocobo stranded among the crowds, burdened by wings it can no longer use,

there is no road left for him to take to the sky.

In fairy tales, a girl makes a deal with the devil, trading her wings for the freedom to walk.

But he has nothing to sell, and has kept company with darkness for years...

A low-ranking actor unexpectedly gets an audition notice from Jiasheng Entertainment, the "entertainment empire." But when Zhuang Shu arrives, he discovers that the job is actually as a nanny for the ill-tempered relative of the company's big boss. Determined to suck up to him for a chance to act, Zhuang Shu grits his teeth and sticks it out with Lu Musheng, a former film emperor rendered aloof and reclusive by a leg disability...

(A prickly former film emperor vs. a broke drama student)

Theme: Claw your way out of the darkness. An inspiring story about an underdog.
