[Zhan Bai Spinoff] [The Spearman] Eternal Pact (Fantasy AU)

A Zhan Bai spin-off of New Detective Alliance, a fanfic featuring Hu Yuwei and Qiao Renliang's characters, and Shenao from The X-Family x Qianglingwang. A fantasy alternate universe, an original Baidu world. The setting draws on a few online games I've played and some fantasy novels. The premise is extremely eccentric. Read at your own risk! Soul: Exists by attaching itself to the body and controls life. Creatures with incomplete souls can still survive, but their health and lifespan are affected. Spirit: Also called "thought," "mental power," or "spiritual waves." It exists separately from the body. Once it reaches a certain strength, it can leave the body, inhabit another object, or spread out as a spiritual field. Spirit carries memories and contracts, controls a creature's independent actions, and can also control the soul to some extent. Consciousness: A creature's subjective thoughts and five senses. It is regulated by the spirit and also acts upon it, thereby controlling actions. Creatures whose spirits have been corrupted by magic experience a weakening of consciousness as well. Special abilities: A creature's bodily potential. It can be developed, but not overdrawn. The measure of a person's special ability is their "ability index." Most people are born with special abilities, but only a few have an innate talent that awakens during their lifetime and can be used alongside special ability techniques. These people are known as "ability users." Combat strength: Calculated as follows: personal ability index + special ability techniques + magical equipment bonuses = combat strength. "Power" generally refers to combat strength. Special ability techniques fall into five categories: strength, movement, magic, stealth and burst damage, and healing. These correspond to the five classes of warrior, ranger, mage, thief, and priest. First published at the Baidu Zhan Bai forum: http://tieba.baidu.com/p/3467462510 Theme:
