Chronicles of a Demon Empress

All she wanted was to trade her own life for a lifetime of peace for her loved ones.

When her wish went up in smoke, she gained a wicked heart, one that was sinister, ruthless, vicious, and immune to every poison.

One-line summary: The rise and fall of a generation's wicked empress in the imperial harem.

In plain terms: Wherever there is oppression, there will be a fight back.

The next story I'm working on is below. Visit my author page to save it.

After transmigrating by accident, Qing Zijin, a top forensic doctor, only wants to look after her family's butcher shop, get by without working, and live to a ripe old age.

But things don't go as she wishes. On a snowy night, a mysterious man gets entangled with her.

Day One

Qing Zijin is slaughtering a pig when the man rolls up his sleeves. "I'll help you slaughter pigs if you help me investigate a case. Deal?"

Qing Zijin shakes her head and replies without hesitation, "No!"

Day Two

Qing Zijin is selling pork when the man rolls up his sleeves again. "I'll help you sell pork if you help me investigate a case. Deal?"

Qing Zijin frowns, about to refuse, but then she sees Aunt Zhang at the west end of the alley and Widow Li at the north end of the street staring greedily at the man's face. They both say they'll buy an extra half-pound of meat.

Qing Zijin smiles, sets down her butcher's knife, and says, "My lord, shall we discuss a business arrangement?"

From then on, her butcher shop has a special guest model. He doesn't slaughter pigs or sell meat. He just stands outside the shop to attract customers.

And at the Dali Temple Judicial Office, Minister Xie Junyue gains a special guest female coroner. With a veil over her face, she listens to bones speak and clears the wrongfully accused. A butcher's knife hangs at her waist, and her speed at solving cases is truly astonishing.
