The Greatest Beauty Trap of This Dynasty

In the seventh year of Zhengxi under the Great Wen dynasty, the emperor is still a child, and the power of the court is held by Prince Chen and Chancellor Qi Mingfei. Each has formed a faction, and they are locked in an open and covert struggle. That year, Song Runhuai, whose brain was addled by a fever, travels to the capital to take the imperial exams, full of an earnest desire to help the world. He is met with hostility at every turn, but fortunately, he happens upon a kindred spirit who often comes to his aid, helping him escape danger. Official A: “That new fellow, Song Run, really knows nothing at all. He’s infuriating.” Official B: “Please don’t be angry, sir. I’ll go teach him a lesson.” A few days later, B returns dejectedly. “It’s not that I didn’t try, sir. The other fellow’s legs are just too strong.” Later, rumors begin to spread through the court: “The waters here run deep. Don’t mess with Song Run.” A farcical, melodramatic tale that takes a turn for the better, eventually becoming the most famous beauty trap in the unofficial history of Great Wen. Note: The actions of all the main and supporting characters should be viewed critically. Theme: The world is full of coincidences, and we should face them with an open mind.
