Author's note: When I first started writing this, I planned it as a novella, but then I suddenly thought this story had a lot of potential, and decided to make it a full-length novel. So I'm going to revise it extensively. I'm busy lately, so I've locked it for now, but I definitely won't abandon it. Sorry!
What if, in 1972, Andromeda Black's elopement with Ted Tonks had failed, and Tonks had been killed on the spot?
What if, because Andromeda was pregnant, she had been forced to marry her cousin Sirius?
What if, in 1976, Andromeda had left home with Sirius and joined the Order of the Phoenix...
In this setting, Andromeda is 17 and Sirius is 13 when they marry in early 1973.
Note: Follows the original story's plot, and characters die as they do in canon. Proceed with caution: angst ahead.
Mingcao, I like you from the EK bar. I know you are from Suzhou and I want to take the postgraduate entrance examination in Shanghai. Can I hang out with you later?
He was sorted into Gryffindor, the house that symbolizes light and justice.
I think it was after the Order of the Phoenix, whose leader and most members were Gryffindors, resisted Voldemort and won the first war that Gryffindor became synonymous with light and justice in the eyes of many people. Judging from the lyrics of the Sorting Hat, Gryffindor's admission requirement is only bravery rather than a sense of justice. And if you look at the so-called "Richard the Lionheart", you will understand that the meaning of the lion in British culture may not be very good.
I don't know why the lofter account can't post comments.
So I decided to go to JJ to urge lof to update (it seems a bit strange)
I don't know if it can be updated...
I am here. . . Someone. . . . . .
The two of them are siblings, husband and wife, and comrades-in-arms. I like! ! ! !
So Sirius died later?
Oh oh, it's been a long time, and it's been updated. Spread flowers~~
Regulus was so cute when he was a child, but all Blacks were proud, and Sirius's inappropriate overprotectiveness was certainly not welcome. However, no matter how much you understand Regulus's difficulties, you can't make yourself a Death Eater!
In the original work, Qiu's patron saint is also a swan, but its cultural symbolism of purity and loyalty is not well interpreted in Qiu. Rowling may also just want to use it to symbolize the elegance and mystery of Autumn (Eastern background). But in fact, the swan is most famous in Western culture as the "swan song". Although people now generally use it to describe the last works of literati, the spiritual core contained in this cultural image is actually the unswerving pursuit and the brilliance of burning life. As Byron wrote in "Elegy", "I would like to be a flying swan and fly until I die", which is the best portrayal of Andromeda and Sirius.
In the future, when Dora investigates who gave her this strange name, just don't involve me.
The name Nymphadora has a pretty good meaning... Nymph is the water nymph in Greek mythology, dora means gift, and Nymphadora together means "fairy's gift" (the Taiwanese version simply translates it directly as "little fairy"). In the original novel, Tonks doesn't like people calling her by her name, probably just because she's such a tomboyish person and doesn't like being called "fairy".
