[The Twelve Kingdoms] A Fork in the King's Path

As a qilin, Jing Qi was lucky. He met two rulers who loved him dearly. But unfortunately, both of them ultimately chose to take their own lives so he could survive. When Jing Qi met his third king, he was already on the verge of breaking down. He truly did not want to choose a king, but he did so anyway. The people were already desperate, and if they encountered demons, their plight would only grow more miserable. As a qilin, he hoped he could do something for the people, even if only a little. Even though the people of Qing now hated him for choosing two incompetent kings in a row. The first king simply neglected state affairs and let his ministers call the shots. But the second king led the country into the abyss. It was all like a dream. Everything seemed so beautiful, but then destruction arrived without warning, catching everyone off guard. To this day, Jing Qi still does not know how it happened.
