Jiang Leshi was screwed.
Running into his ex in the middle of a sex scene was bad enough. What was worse, while the two of them were naked and halfway through rolling around on the bed, a blood-red hand stabbed through the partition and dangled in front of them.
Down on his luck, Jiang Leshi is forced to search for a way to survive the apocalypse with the ex he'd had a bitter breakup with four years ago.
"What, you think I'm scarier than the zombies?"
After a bloody fight, Jian Cheng leaned against the stolen pickup, a Zhonghua cigarette dangling from his lips. He raised an eyebrow at Jiang Leshi, who was avoiding him like the plague. "Relax. Me eating you and them eating you are two different things."
Though his clothes were spattered with the stinking fluids of zombies, the toned physique beneath his tight tank top was even more eye-catching than usual.
Jiang Leshi's gaze swept over those sculpted pectorals. He spat, hefted the heavy gun on his shoulder, and walked around to the other side of the pickup.
The first week of the apocalypse.
Fear gnawed at his mind. The moment he opened his eyes, he had to fight. At the slightest disturbance, even in a dream, he would snap awake and grab his gun.
The Nth week of the apocalypse.
After the Nth time that man's naked, muscular body flashed through his mind, Jiang Leshi, sitting in the passenger seat, straightened his aching back and cursed, "A dog never changes its ways."
That's right, he was cursing himself: a dog that just couldn't change.

In the apocalypse, people who got infected would automatically leave the group to await death. It was an unspoken agreement everyone understood.
Even the closest relationships couldn't escape the fear of dying and turning into a monster. And they were even less likely to.
Four years ago, when Jian Cheng proposed, Jiang Leshi had coldly said, "Let's break up," then walked away without looking back. Now, with Jian Cheng infected and waiting to die in a corner, he had no reason to imagine Jiang Leshi would choose to stay by his side.
The sharp screech of brakes caught his attention.
A familiar figure ignored the people trying to hold him back, jumped out of the car, and ran straight toward him.
Jian Cheng blinked, the corners of his mouth lifting despite himself.
Good. Looks like being a dog wasn't for nothing.
