The Proud Jade Branch

My new novel, My Silly Sweet Wife, is now out! Beautiful and adorably naive young lady of a marquis’s household vs. taciturn, cold-faced, possessive young general As the apple of her family’s eye, Nian Jinyu is charming and lively, and dearly loved by everyone. But a verbal marriage agreement leaves her no choice but to marry Gu Mingyuan, a defeated general who has fallen out of favor with the emperor, lost his title, and become lame. Beneath the red candles and wedding curtains, Gu Mingyuan turns his back on his delicate new bride, his eyes dark as ink. “If you’re willing to marry me, my family doesn’t mind supporting one more good-for-nothing.” To his surprise, his new bride boldly turns him around, puffing out her cheeks as she earnestly tells him that she isn’t a good-for-nothing. She’s his wife. He never expected the moon to descend from the heavens and fall into his arms. Having embraced the light, he finally became the one trapped in a game he could never escape. From then on, he wanted neither fame nor fortune. All he wanted was her. Blurb begins here Between Su Jinxiu and him, only four words fit: to the death. She offers herself in marriage as her reward, And becomes the new bride in the Shi household. Needlework, music, painting, and calligraphy are beyond her, But she’s a natural at wielding blades and sticks. So who’s the husband, and who’s the groom? Someone, indignantly: “Who says I can’t sew?” Shi Lang: “Put the needle down.” Someone, ingratiatingly: “Then I’ll go make you some soup.” Shi Lang: “Put the knife down too.” Theme:
