[Prince of Tennis] Within Reach

Tezuka Kunimitsu had always known that Shiratori Akane's presence made him feel completely at ease and secure. But what Tezuka Kunimitsu had never realized was that Shiratori Akane had always stood in the place closest to him, within arm's reach. Additional notes: 1. This is the second story about Shiratori Akane, vice president of the official Seigaku student council. For the first story, see [Prince of Tennis] Shiratori Akane's Confession. 2. The heroine's name is translated as "Shiratori Akane" in the official Chinese guidebook. Using "Shiratori Akane" in this story is correct in every respect. For my personal reasons behind this translation, see the author's note in the first story. The author refuses to offer any further explanation or comment on this issue. 3. The story follows roughly the same direction as the first one, correcting the parts contradicted by official canon. Shiratori's personality and characterization differ slightly from the first story, while retaining its related fanon. 4. By the way, the author doesn't love Tezuka enough, or deeply enough. I'll leave the rest to you readers.
