On a continent where magic and battle aura coexist, eleven intelligent races live side by side: humans, magical beasts, elves, beastfolk, dwarves, dragons, merfolk, winged folk, demons, celestial beings, and gnomes. The celestial beings and demons are confined to the Abyss of Hell and the Sacred Land of the Sixteen Heavens, respectively. Magical beasts and elves occupy most of the forests as their homes, and have erected barriers to keep other intelligent races out. The greedy dragons have taken over the remote mountains in the north, hoarding all the treasures there. The merfolk live in the depths of the sea and are self-sufficient. Occasionally, lesser merfolk wander up to the surface and use their songs to bewitch passing ships. They are known as sirens. Dwarves and gnomes live underground. Their forging skills are unmatched by any other race, but they are hard drinkers with fiery tempers. The beastfolk live in the barbaric north, where conditions are harsh. There are also rumors that the earliest beastfolk were hybrids of humans and beasts, enslaved and scorned by the other ten races. Humans, meanwhile, live in the most prosperous region of the continent, divided between the Eastern and Western Empires. People in the Eastern Empire favor magic and look down on martial arts, and mages are highly respected. The Western Empire is precisely the opposite. Yet despite their many differences, all these races share a hostility toward one profession. Legend has it that its practitioners are not only immortal, but can also bring the dead back to life. This is no ordinary summoning of skeletons or spirits, but true resurrection, with the resurrected completely obedient to their master's commands. It is a profession that trespasses upon the domain of the gods: necromancer.

[The gentle bottom and domineering top I originally imagined have completely fallen apart. As the one who started this in the first place, I'm crying in the bathroom. I'm starting to think I should change it to BG. Mom, come save me!]
