At first, I liked the main crew and Trafalgar Law, but there was someone else who didn't appear often and yet quietly came to occupy the most important place in my heart.
When Ace first appeared, I didn't think he was all that charming. After all, silly Luffy, directionless Zoro, lecherous Sanji, adorable Chopper, and money-loving Nami were all more charismatic than him, weren't they?
But later, I loved him without realizing it. And then came the Marineford War, and I couldn't watch anymore. Even when Luffy was called the Fifth Emperor, even as more and more new crewmates joined, even though Sabo was still alive, even though countless people had boundless charm, just thinking of Ace made me burst into tears.
So this story really is just for the sake of letting Ace and Pops survive. All the characters may be out of character, but I just want them both to be safe and sound in some world. That's what inspired me to write this.
The protagonist has only one special ability: trading one life for another. Of course, the heroine won't die, but basically, she's just a weakling. She has to trade away all her abilities to use this power, all to save Pops and Ace. If you can't accept that, there's no need to force yourself.
