She, Xu Xiaoxiao, always thought she was just an ordinary, unremarkable human. Who knew she was actually a nine-tailed fox spirit, not too powerful and not too weak? And her father, whom she'd thought was honest but dull, and her sharp-tongued, nagging mother turned out to be two of the most prominent figures in the world of spirits. With a whole bunch of spirit friends around her, Xu Xiaoxiao's life wasn't bad at all. Fine, fine, so she's a spirit. But why, when she's so good and clever and never goes looking for trouble, does trouble always seem to come looking for her?
(This story is kind of a pit. I was ridiculously overconfident and started digging another pit before finishing the first one! But after reading Urban Strange Tales, I just couldn't help myself. Some characters may feel familiar, but this is still a new story!)
