He Is a Ghost

One of my roommates suddenly dropped out of school.

Before he left, he behaved strangely, and I always felt he might be thinking of ending his life.

Later, I unexpectedly received an invitation from him. It was an invitation to his wedding.

I asked our other classmates if they had received one, but they all said no.

The invitation looked strange, handwritten in black ink on white paper. Did his family live in some remote old mountain village?

I hadn't planned to go, but for some reason, as the date on the invitation drew closer, I found myself caring more and more.

I had nothing to do over the May Day holiday anyway. Surely there was no harm in visiting somewhere unfamiliar?

I set off, unaware that it would be a road with no return...
