I Want to Hear Song Feiran's Dirt

Qiu Yu had been obsessed with romance novels since childhood, and her lovesick brain was terminally ill. After deciding that she had fallen in love with her cultivation partner, Song Feiran, she promptly drew up a plan: 1. Break off her engagement to her childhood friend. 2. Confess her feelings to Song Feiran. Her childhood friend heard her decision, turned away to wipe his tears, then turned back and encouraged her: "If you really like him, there's nothing wrong with pursuing him." Song Feiran was away on an adventure, but soon replied through the spirit mirror: "I have a fiancee. You're just my best cultivation partner." Qiu Yu: "...Sob." Her lovesick brain couldn't make sense of it. She had a fiance, too, so why could she bring herself to let him go, while Song Feiran couldn't? But what was done was done. She could only cut off her feelings: "I want to hear bad things about Song Feiran!" Fellow disciple: "After the last class duel, I vaguely heard him call you stupid." Lovesick fool: "He's strict with his cultivation partner because he wants me to improve!" Fellow disciple: "..." Best friend: "You're just ordinary cultivation partners, but he keeps getting in the way when you try to make other cultivation partners." Lovesick fool: "That's only natural. I don't like him getting close to other people, either." Best friend: "..." Childhood friend: "What about the fact that he let you down?" Lovesick fool: "That's him taking responsibility. He was afraid he'd ruin my life." Childhood friend: "..." Everyone believed Qiu Yu was beyond saving. They wished her well and accepted that she was hopelessly devoted to him, but then they noticed more and more romance novels starring characters who looked just like Song Feiran appearing in the marketplace. At last, Qiu Yu confessed with a smile: "Instead of hating him, I'd rather share my adorable little feelings until this whole thing gets completely boring." *This is a short story. I wanted to finish the little ten-thousand-word story I'd abandoned. I can't switch categories, so it has to go under historical romance. I haven't written in ages, so the prose might feel pretty awkward. *Thanks to Bishui for the lovely illustration! *Love yourself. Theme: Love yourself
