Stay Calm, Watch How I Love You!

"You'll get sick if you stay here, big brother." The young man raised his head and looked at Duan Xiyuan with unfocused eyes. His heart ached faintly. Duan Xiyuan was still a child who had yet to enter society. He didn't know the world held such overwhelming sorrow, or that someone's eyes could be so dark. Duan Xiyuan smiled and reached out with his free hand to pat the young man's head. "It doesn't hurt, it doesn't hurt." The young man stared blankly at the boy before him, then smiled. The sadness from moments earlier vanished. Seeing him smile, Duan Xiyuan breathed a sigh of relief and handed him his umbrella. "Hurry home. Don't catch a cold." The young man took the umbrella and noticed the mark on Duan Xiyuan's arm. A glimmer of interest flashed in his eyes, and then he said softly, "This is very pretty." Duan Xiyuan knew the young man meant the green vine-shaped mark on his arm. He smiled and replied, "Thanks for the compliment. I like it too." He had had this mark since birth, and he didn't know why it was there. "Thank you for the umbrella, little boy." Seeing Duan Xiyuan's innocent gaze lifted the young man's spirits. He felt awful about how he'd been just moments ago, needing a child to comfort him. "You're welcome. I'm off now, big brother." Even if the road was dark, Duan Xiyuan was sure the young man would be able to cheer up with plants by his side. Theme:
