[Natsume's Book of Friends] At a Crossroads

In her bizarre, shifting dreams, she always sees the woman in a twelve-layered kimono in the attic from her childhood, a shadow reflected on the wall, and a huge creature constantly chasing her from behind. At the end of the road lies a crossroads: one path leads to [humans], the other to [demons]. Two people who were once the closest in the world had no contact after their parents passed away. One still suffers the pain of being shunned everywhere because she can see demons, while the other gradually opens her heart after encountering powerful spirits. They share the same blood, but their fates are different. ① The heroine is named Natsume Reiko. She is not Natsume Takashi's grandmother, but her younger sister, who happens to have the same name. ② Although this is a Natsume's Book of Friends fanfic, Takashi barely appears in the early chapters. It's necessary for the plot, so please don't complain if you dislike that. ③ In this story, Reiko takes Takashi's place in exorcising demons and fighting monsters. To be clear, this isn't stealing his role, but simply taking his place. Even if Nyanko-sensei, the demons, or Takashi's classmates at school treat Reiko kindly, it's only because she is Takashi's younger sister. They aren't especially close, but they aren't distant either, and Reiko understands this perfectly. ⑤ This isn't a Mary Sue story, and Reiko isn't a saintly white lotus. Her personality is similar to Takashi's, so of course the story has a literary, delicate feel. ⑥ This is a deep-hole project born from the author's wild imagination: bittersweet and healing, with no romance, no incest, and no following the original plot. ⑦ The author has her college entrance exams in June, so updates will be irregular =W= No need to rush or hurry me~ Remember to click below to bookmark this story~ #favorite_1{color:red;font-weight:bold;} ← Feel free to ask for updates v
