Born Under a Thousand-Year Star

Travelers from near and far, honored guests passing by, come on in and listen to a tale. This time, the story is about the ill-fated romance between Ji Feng, a great general of the previous dynasty, and His Highness Wei Suyan, the Lord of Wu. That year, the new emperor ascended the throne and the Empress Dowager took charge of the government. The feudal lords grew restless. Our General Ji was ordered to put down the rebellion of Liu Nan, the King of Nan. On his way, he passed through the lands of Wei Suyan, the King of Wu. Let us see how General Ji used every means at his disposal to bring the King of Wu into his bedchamber. His Highness the King of Wu, reputed to be a living master craftsman, was no easy conquest. He was a prince and a peerless beauty, with no shortage of wealth or power. Every so often, he would build a little contraption to keep General Ji shut outside a door, lock him to the bedpost, or trap him inside a formation, and he enjoyed every minute of it. But the court was rife with uncertainty. After a brutal bout of heartbreak and torment, Ji Feng stood atop the city wall and asked, "I'll ask you one last time. Would you rather die than return to your Kingdom of Wu?" "I am the King of Wu." Ji Feng froze. He turned away, determined to let go this time. "But you are my king." Wei Suyan reached out and embraced Ji Feng. Revisions are in progress for chapters 4.13 to 4.15. I'm very sorry for any inconvenience this may cause while reading. Lighthearted at first, angsty later, happy ending. Scheming top x queenly bottom. Not a naive, simplistic setup; quality assured. Hope you enjoy it! Reader group: 73275795.
